🚨Voice News!!🚨

Hey everybody, I eventually heard back from someone at 10pm, and there's news... After MANY questions, the gentleman I spoke to reckons its a very stubborn form of laryngitis, and he's instructed me to stay absolutely silent all weekend. When I told him voice rest hadn't worked previously, he didn't seem very happy and has told me he's going to get in touch with my GP surgery and basically tell them to give me an appointment, and not to fob me off anymore, he said it needs "urgent treatment"- he's gonna recommend that I be referred to an ENT clinic to have a camera shoved down there 🙄purely because what I've treated it with until now hasn't worked, and because its gone on for so long now.

The good news is, I'm showing no other symptoms of anything majorly serious, which is a relief! And I asked him outright, I said "Is this something I need to worry about?", and after a pause, he said "We'll know more when you've been seen by your GP, there are possibilities we can't rule out until then" and he insisted I stop speaking completely for the whole weekend, and smoking. I've been using a vape which he agrees is better (he asked if I'd do neither, when I said no he said vaping is the lesser of 2 evils) up until now I've used the vape to cut down, but apparently I need to stop smoking until I've been seen properly. Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and rest is key apparently, and he said if I see an improvement on Monday morning, then chances are its nothing bad.

So sadly, I won't be able to bring any content this weekend, I know you all understand which is a HUGE weight off my shoulders! I'm doing everything I can to get better as quickly as possible. Needless to say, if my doctors wasn't so damn useless I could have been treated ages ago! I'm so sorry that this has gone on for so long, its really winding me up now. Its gonna be a nightmare of a weekend with everything thats going round in my head right now, especially since I can't physically talk or film content to distract myself!

Thank you all for your concern and support, hopefully this will get sorted very soon, even if it means shoving a camera down my gullet, which I'm already dreading.
