Hi! What switch did you use for your model? I used a Kailh switch but it does not go into the duck.

Hey! Are you the same person who asked this on Makerworld? If it's you, I just replied there with the link to the ones I use from Amazon and a photo. Here I see you saying that the hardest part is the duck. You could try fitting it first to the duck, and then to the flamingo. The top part is always a little harder to fit, but they usually fit well, just a little force required. Once it fits, it usually won't come loose, and there's no need to glue it. Hope this helps, let me know!

Good morning! Yes sorry for the duplicate question. I should have deleted from Makerworld when I posted here. Some designers don't check their Makerworld messages and I asked before joining your Patreon. Thanks for the info. My switches look slightly different than yours but seems they should still work I would think. I didn't print the flamingo yet, figuring if my switch wasn't going to work there'd be no reason to print that part out. Thanks for responding in both places, sorry again for the duplicate.

Hello! Don't worry, it's not a problem at all. I just wanted to make sure it was you, so I didn't leave anyone hanging. As I said, normally it works fine, but you do need to fit the parts together properly, and once it “clicks,” it doesn’t come apart. Hopefully that works for you! That said, with this model there’s one issue that has come up (though it’s not related to the switch). The flamingo’s neck is a slightly delicate area and for some people the print fails there. The support breaks, or detaches... I tested it many times and it printed fine for me. I even made a version with a stronger neck and improved support settings, which also worked well on my printer and several people have also shared photos of successful prints with me, but for a few others, it continued fail always in that exact spot. So, I recommend making sure your printer is really well calibrated and, if you plan to print it with AMS, it might be best to first try it in single-color (just to avoid wasting too much time or filament). Sorry for the long explanation. The only reason I haven’t removed this model is because it has printed perfectly for many others. So I believe the issue comes down to calibration differences on some printers when tackling a fragile area/support. Still, I want to be transparent so you’re aware. I’ve actually been thinking of adding this note directly to the MakerWorld description of this model, since I saw another comment about it recently.

You gave perfect advice. It snapped right in after putting it in the flamingo first. I saw the comments in Makerworld about the neck and just decided to use the stronger neck file. I had no issues. Thanks again for your help
