Hey there!

I’ve been working non-stop and still, and for now I have a bit of everything but now I really want to know first hand what you guys around here prefer. I´ve being doing some models that print all in one piece using AMS but really optimized, takes less waste and time, like the Bony Bones collection, and others that are multi-part BUT, you need AMS only for the face piece (for the eyes), once again, times and waste are way less.

But I’m really curious on what do you prefer? What is the thing you would appreciate more? ✨ One-piece AMS prints (super clean color changes)? ✨ Multi-part prints (no AMS at all, just glue and done)? ✨ Or a mix — like when only the eyes or tiny details use AMS (like Yeti, example below)?

AND, if you usually avoid AMS, tell me why! Is it because you don’t have it, or more about saving time and filament? In a way that if a model is optimized to print faster, you wouldn´t mind to print them mixed or full AMS (?).

I’m asking because I’m already working on Christmas stuff and I want to make sure I’m creating some you’ll actually appreciate (not just aesthetically).

I´m gonna run a poll but I would really appreciate if some of you comment about preferences explaining a bit more about them.

I really love how ams looks on some designs but its just frustrating how long it takes so if can be multi piece then amazing

I can go either way. I do love less waste though

Noted! I also love aesthetically the AMS results but I don't have the patience for long print times, so I personally prefer the mix. But wanted to know if you think it's a good choice too!

I do think its a good idea as easy to put together and half the waste xx

Mrs. Nord Studio

Great, noted too! I think optimizing the option that combines both can achieve faster prints with less waste

I love multi part prints. We have limited ams’s and i cannot stand the waste. We use more expensive gradient filaments and prefer to get the most out of the spools
