Another rather long chapter. I wanted to write more, but I already went over my limit, and my next PoV was a drastic change in shift and not insignificant in size. Oh well. Not fully edited, so hit me up if you see something off.You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

Reading this fic is the highlight of every week for me, can’t wait till the next one!

Love the chapter. It’s so interesting to me that BLANKS campaign, this huge part of the ongoing narrative, just…ends with a whimper. Most writers have some epic final battle that sees the forces of the enemy crushed, and their cause destroyed. Your approach was much more subtle: a loss of a leader here, a kidnapping there, and suddenly no one wants to follow him anymore. It just proves that the moment one important general looses faith, the domino effect comes on super fast. The hints on Jon Snow’s upcoming storyline give me a smidge of ‘Enders Game’ Dragon Squad vibes. In this case you have the Iron men and Reach leaders seeing this upstart join the battle, and not thinking twice because of his unknown stature and collection of “cast offs”. Then suddenly they realize that they’re facing a vastly superior leader who’s honed his squad to a razors edge.

Mand'alor The Resurrector

That was awesome. What a great chapter. How you finally ended Robb’s big chase with a nice quick battle pov while he is still looking for his would be assassins. Cough cough Varys cough cough. I love the ended paragraphs where they are excerpts from the future about what is presently happening so you don’t have to write them being talked about in a different POV. Holy Shit! Jon Snow has RETURNED! But holy shit that opening POV was epic. Jon Snow wearing the Others armor was awesome. What a great decision to have that. And the trial of the seven where Jon with no armor bested seven of the best rangers and one of them being halfhand was impressive as hell. Your fic is does something that I despise about a lot of fics, mostly because of the show, competent Jon Snow. He knew what he needed to do politically before he arrived. Most other fics have him as an idiot who “doesn’t understand” or “doesn’t care” for politics like that is some common Northern trait and playing politics is just a southern trait. Jon is able to turn the views of the watch, southerns, northerns and now septons by his actions and the actions of the men and women that follow him, and I think that is more powerful than what we see a lot of the time in fics. Thank you for writing this and I can’t wait for the next one.

Now the White Huntsmans has much game to hunt down. With the mountain clans helping him I think Theon is about to wish he had left the North when he could. And man the Reach snd Ironmen turning on each other at the onset of winter in the North with no true supply lines this seems like a slaughter waiting to happen.

So any ideas on a castle for Jon? And will he and Val have any sons?

StoicPrince

Another epic chapter! It makes sense that Lord Tarly would abandon Renly due to his daughter being taken captive while under the Queen's authority. Margaery should have just hunkered down in a loyal castle, but this just proves Renly did not pay her any thought, Any loving husband will want his wife out of harm's way, and won't have her gamble away her life. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Well finally Jon is back. Can’t wait to see him fuck shit up. I’m genuinely wondering what’s going to become of Renly now. He shot his shot..but I mean now what’s he to do? Might be better to fall on his sword…pun intended.

Robb would be wise not to push too deep into the Reach just yet, or at the least, make sure his army is split, but close enough to reinforce eachother. With a plague spreading through the region, he could very easily be weakened by it.

Roguewave1737

Epic indeed. Chills from the direwolf banner rallying the clans! Real Scottish highlander vibes. Also really loving the balance between Ned, Robb, and Jon without letting any one get away from the others in power level and awesomeness. The Essos storyline with Ned is my persistent favorite though, and I'm very much looking forward to returning to Myr.

The White Huntsman is a badass nickname

So many highborn maidens kidnapped by Dornish bandits was emasculating, cant even protect his queen and heir and the Oakheart defeat was the last straw, id love to get a POV showing him tearing his hair out, despairing and sup on his tears; Renly has always been kind of gay. I still hope Margaery is ok though, i mean house Wyl are not known for their gentle and honourable dispositions. I liked this chapter very much, but you invited people to offer critique so here are some: Jon is indeed Myrcellas brother in law or goodbrother but he's not Joffreys.. is he? I dont think thats how it works, im 70% sure on this I think you sometimes throw too many adjectives around when others are gushing about Jon Snow, example; hes not just from the age of heroes, hes a LEGEND like those of the age of heroes, theres some redundancy sometimes, i mean yes hes a GIGAchad maximus and thats how we like him but sometimes you do stray into overindulgent territory, less is sometimes more, and has greater impact, a small nitpick nothing big. Otherwise chefskiss, o and yes didn't i call it last chapter! Renly was gonna get shanked, here there was an attempt, his days are numbered

awesome, can't wait for next week

I have to admit, I am disappointed that Tormund didn’t go with Jon

Yet another comment. I bet that the ice sword is going to be used as a verifier for Aegon, as the rest of the Starks are going to be able to wield it
