I'm not happy with this chapter. It gave me trouble, and I finally decided to face a topic that I avoided in the first PoV. Might go to rewrite it entirely later. Let me know what you think. A disclaimer, I'm not descending into endless angst or anything like that, just trying to wrap up things that I left hanging. We're entering the last phase of the fic.You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

I must say while you may have struggled with part of it the overall chapter is great! I will say it did seem a little rushed at certain parts but I can understand needing to move the plot along. With this connection to the Liddles will Jon and Val be made overlords of the Mountain clans? And potentially take the fleet that Balon is building at Sea Dragon Point?

A kind of slow chapter, but one I think was needed after several weeks of action. If I have one quibble, it’s that Ned has been languishing in Essos for a bit too long. Especially since this Myr arc has started, it’s felt like he’s been frozen in amber for several chapters. It seems like he might finally be making his way back home soon if this chapter is any indication, and I hope that’s the case.

Personally, I don't really see a problem with the Val pov. Great work as always!

Arya’s death hit me hard all over again. But seeing Nymeria so happy made me think that if anyone could thrive with a second life as a direwolf it would be Arya. Heartbreaking to realize that all the Starks can tell one of their own are dead. It explains Ned’s ice cold face, he knows something has been taken from him. Theon… too little too late. Even if he does get his men in line it won’t save him. Jon deciding revenge is best served cold is bad news for the Ironborn and Hightowers. I liked the Val POV! Im glad Jon is leaning on his wife and letting out all those heavy thoughts. I’m also very interested in seeing Dalla meet her grandmother. And omg another baby? The story of the Starks defending the North across every inch of that ancient land was beautiful. And then to cut over to Ned Stark in Myr, leaving memories of a Stark bleeding and defending the people over in the East?… love it.

Really good take on Jon opening up, to be honest I found this to be the best part about the chapter so I definitely would let it stay. Love the twist on the Aegon storyline and am already excited for Jon's reaction. Thanks.

Loved it. Robb is going to turn into the Kingbreaker instead King in the North. I had been saying that (F)Aegon was gonna run into Ned first but it looks like Robb is going to beat him to the punch. I had forgotten that Elia didn’t have a son in this timeline. Chaos is imminent and I’m here for it.

This doesn't absolve Theon in any way, but i'm sure he will think it does. I just hope Jon and Nymeria don't agree. Nice to see Myr put soem more resistance to Shireen than Tyrosh, but i'm assuming next chapter Eddard will show them why people used to kneel or run away whenever they saw a Wolf banner.

It was a good chapter, and a necessary conversation since Val has become real good at reading Jons moods, also if Myrcella knows the Jons deepest secrets then it would be strange, unfair? that Val would be in the dark, i will never be against more Jon & Val heart to hearts, i liked it. I thought the previous chapter where Myrcella finds out a bit huh?, or like you really putting the fingers on the scales or rushing a plot point but having re-read that part i see you added more to Myrcellas reaction which was necessary because it is just unbelievable information, like yes, is he a madman? did he receive visions? they did find him in a strange state underneath the godswood with unexplicable magic symptoms, im glad you fleshed that part out. Now i feel kind of bad thinking that reckless spoiled dumbass Arya faced her consequences, i mean she really is gone, shes truly gone oh mercy.

With this fic ending perhaps by the end of the year, will CoF get weekly updates? Also just to throw this out there, both the Cannibal and Sheep Stealer are alive at the end of the Dance, so you can give Jon an adult dragon if you want to.
