A chapter not as late as usual! The previous chapter is edited again. I'm fairly satisfied with this one, but I'm sure there will be a few things I'll find to nitpick later in the week (or that you will find to nitpick). Anyway, lemme know what you think in the comments. You can read the previous chapters in the collection!

Great chapter. Jon remembering Arya was bittersweet, him knowing her faults but still missing her is peak.

The King is dead. Long live the King.

I've been waiting for the Arya call-out. Hope there's a few more interactions with Baela, they've been fun so far.

Really good chapter. It’s not often an author is able to name-drop the title without it sounding cringeworthy.

Honestly, I'm hoping for a reaction from Alicent when all this comes out. Otto is going to ,predictably, be a scheming cunt, Corlys is a snake through and through and everyone else of interest is a corpse. I really wanna see Mama Hightower realizing that all this bullshit and the death of her children was for nothing.

He said the thing! Also death by rock. Get fucked

So passes Aegon the Crispy. And Jon doesn't even have to deal with the Kinslayer nonsense and Baela can claim self-defense. Can't help but feel there's going to be a complete curve ball coming with Aemond unrestrained.

Great chapter. Jon and his wingwomen should practice flying and fighting together. A few hours prep might save a lot of heartache. The Arya shout out was well done.

So I had a thought while driving and thinking about this chapter before it came out earlier today. Will Jon every tell anyone the truth of his background and origin? Maybe Rhaena when he marries? So what if they think he's a bit crazy or suffered head trauma almost drowning? He clearly has the stuff to go the distance and the right blood. Might be a load off of him too, and keeping secrets that big from a spouse is never a good idea in any world.

Great chapter! A proper ignoble ending for Aegon and Baela's training and daring has payed off, even though it was close. Castlefall goes off with out a hitch and first followers are gathered. Will Jon intercept Jeyne in time? Will he intercept Cregan and riverlords? The biggest hurdle is, of.course, lack of eyes in King's Landing. Something tells me it will be an endevaour to fix that. I eagerly await more! Only question I have is this: Jon has expressed respect for Jacaerys previously. Now he says he died to his own ambition and *smallness* of his own mind. Why did he change his mind? Or are those words more meant for Baela than reflection if Jon's thoughts?

Let’s be honest Jon Targaryen does have a nice ring to it

Loved the last chapter for its fight. This one for Jon's thoughts. Anxiously awaiting Jon's journey into the Clawlaw Point, Riverlands and meeting Cregan "I'll die when I wish to" Stark. Can't wait for the reaction of the surviving Greens when they realise that the war isn't over and the Seasnake's reaction to his granddaughter proclaiming herself to be Queen. We know Jon's skin is way tougher than normal, he is stronger than normal, and that he could already skinchange into various creatures. But are the two former things all he received after slaying the Cannibal, bathing in its blood, and consuming its heart? If so, not enough crack for me and we were promised crack. I'm jonesing for it.
