Good chapter, but I think you missed one important thing. The Six Skins always keep his snow bear close, along with his other animals. even if he sends some out hunting, he keeps others close (I get that’s never explicitly stated in the books, but keeping some of his animals with him always is just logical). When he died, whatever animals he was keeping close to him would do something. For example, if it was the snow bear it would probably rampage. If it was the shadow cat it’d try to run away. If it was the wolves it would probably join Jon’s pack.

Awesome chapter! More or less what I was expecting to come of Jon treating with the army. Was hoping he could get closer to 40k in number, but that was optimistic. One quick note. You started on the 6th day, then they arrived on the 8th, and then Jarod Snow pov takes place on the 7th? I’m just about certain you meant the 9th.
