Announcement About Weekly Polls (Patreon)

Hey everybody. After a lot of thinking, I've finally decided to move from weekly polls to biweekly polls. In other words, instead of one each week, it'll be one every other week. There's a few reasons for this choice.

First, I generally write six chapters a week. When I'm doing two parts of a oneshot every week, that means that 30% of my time is going toward these short stories. Recently I've been way more invested in my longer stories, and doing the weekly oneshots has started to feel like progressively more of a chore; something to get done so that I can work on what I care about more.

Second, and this is arguably the bigger reason, I'm starting to deplete the pairings that I actually want to write. Since I started this Patreon just a little over a year ago, I've already written oneshots of Harry with Hermione, Fleur, Daphne, Tonks, Pansy, Astoria, Cho, Gabrielle, Katie, Apolline, and more. I've even written a fair amount of the minor characters with him, from Romilda Vane to young McGonagall. I've also covered Percy with most of the major girls from his series, and done Peter with roughly half of the MCUs finest ladies. These are the three most popular characters for me to write about, winning most polls they're a part of and making for a lot of the best stories. As time passes I'm having a harder time coming up with interesting pairings for the polls. Now, I'm by no means dry of inspiration, but considering I've only been going for 13 months and hope to keep it up for many more to come, that's only going to develop into more of a problem over time.

So, with these things in mind, I'm cutting back. Only by half though. And I won't be posting any less; the whole point is to make a little bit more room to stay on top of commissions and my longer stories. I want to use that time to also get back on top of Roommates, keep Maternity Leave going, and (spoiler) I even have an idea that's been eating at me for a 15ish chapter mini-story following Percy in a certain element-wielding IP...

For concisions sake, the changes to the tiers:

Dastardly Squires are going from 1 poll every two weeks -> 1 poll every four weeks.

Nefarious Knights and above are going from 1 poll every week -> 1 poll every two weeks.
