*Wednesday 17th of June Update *

Hi Everyone,

Just a mini update to keep you all in the loop and let you know that all is going according to plan with the recovery. I had the stitches removed on Monday and my first check in with the doctor was positive. I will go back on the 26th, and that should be around the date I can take the sling off and to begin to do more regular activities with this arm again.

I am trying to make the most of the downtime by doing some rest and relaxation, and have taken up meditation. So feeling free as a bird... new age hippy type here✌️

But with all this time to myself, comes plenty of thinking time and my imagination is running wild with story ideas! So I can't wait to get back to writing and getting things back up and running again on the 4th of July.

Love you all 😘

Kacey xx

*Original June 4th Post Below*

Hi my loves,

I’ve got some slightly annoying news to share with you all.

For the last few months I’ve been dealing with a worsening pain in my shoulder. What started as a nagging and dull pain has turned into something pretty unbearable over the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow I’m going in for arthroscopic subacromial decompression... which sounds a whole lot worse than it actually is. It's basically keyhole surgery to clean things up in there.

It’s a same-day procedure and not overly dramatic, but I’m going to have very limited use of my arm and shoulder for a while afterwards. Whilst it can take several months to get back to full movement, I should be allowed to return to 'desk work' activities like writing after a few weeks.

The frustrating bit in all of this, is how creative I’ve been feeling lately. I’ve absolutely loved writing April Fools, A Bit Of Bad Luck, The Anniversary, and even powering through last week with the first part of Tom’s Bet Goes Horribly Wrong, despite the pain, gave me an escape from an otherwise crappy and uncomfortable few weeks.

I’d also been quietly plotting story and scene structures for Walk A Mile In Their Shoes and The Homeless Man, and was really looking forward to the potential of starting those in the coming weeks. So having to hit pause right when the ideas are flowing sucks.

1 month paused Billing

So what does it mean? I am going to take the full 1 month pause option to recover from the surgery. Which means as of today, all current member’s subscription will be paused completely.

The planned re-open date will be July 4th, with subscriptions recommencing on July 5th.

So for example, If your subscription date is the 15th, there will be no June 15th payment, it will skip automatically and you will still have full access to all the content. No one(except new members signing up) will be charged during this paused period.

Thank you so much for being here and for all the love and support. This page (and all of you) have genuinely been such a bright spot for me, especially these past few weeks whilst things have been a struggle, reading your comments and messages has been a massive boost. I can’t wait to get back and finish some of these stories, and bring you all these new ones I have planned.

I will try and reply to messages, emails and comments when I can. And I will keep you all updated with how things go with the surgery tomorrow.

I love you all.

Kacey xx 💋

Best wishes for a speedy recovery…

Johnny King

Hope you have a speedy recovery. 🫂 <- but avoiding the sore shoulder

Mike

Have you considered trying to use some sort of voice to text software to dictate? Maybe not for full text but enough to get your ideas “on paper” so you don’t forget them… Then you can flesh them out more once you are feeling up to it. As somebody who is likewise dealing with nagging shoulder pain I get your situation. Glad you are getting it taken care of. All my dr wants to do is keep giving me injections which only help for a couple weeks….

Ctolm [the t is silent]

Very sorry to hear that but great that they're able to act so quickly. This does suggest a classic Kacey Story though: beautiful writer with a shoulder out of action, frustrated by loosing her outlet and unwillingly intrigued by her tall dark physiotherapist... 25k words and we'd feel every moment of tension!

Graham Swire

Oh no! This is the worst news ever Kacey!!!! Can’t you get one of those funky new computers where you just speak and it writes for you? Just kidding, wish you a speedy recovery and I don’t know about everyone else but I think you should make billing pause optional, I d be more than happy to keep paying for what may be a financially challenging period, either way, good luck with the op and keep well xx

Doug

Feel Better ❤️‍🩹 Kacey!!

Don’t Rush You’re Shoulder Recovery - Take Your Time!❣️

Jam400

I join all the others and wish you successful treatment and recovery. And I curse the dark cloud that seems to mess with your health lately! I'm sure hubby will take good care of you and give you time to imagine many more stories for us. AND no bedroom gymnastics until you're healed!!!

Kacey Loveington

And 9 months later, Kacey is on a different kind of leave🤰🏻😈

Kacey Loveington

Thanks Mike. Yeah I have tried these before, and they can be frustrating to use. But like you say, for things like notes and ideas it might be handy. Hope you manage to resolve your own shoulder issues soon xx

Kacey Loveington

Thank you for that lovely thought Graham, but pausing billing for all is the right thing to do and the only thing I would be comfortable with. Plenty of time the rest of the year to make up for the loss with lots of stories to seduce subscribers old and new 😉 xx

DJ Tanner

Hoping for a speedy and healthy recovery!

Eric England

Maybe to keep your stories flowing, you should try "dick-tation" during your recovery. 😉😉😉

Damo

We'll miss you, Kacey. I think those voice to text apps are a great idea, that some people have suggested. Even if it's to record your creative ideas so you don't forget them. Speedy recovery to you, beautiful, and we'll look forward to when you get back ❤️

michael1001

Take care of yourself, Kacey. We need you!

foudespit46

Dear Kacey, I'm really sorry for you. Working in an hospital, I know how it can be painful when it's an articulation. So, after such a surgery, rest and a little reeducation are the best to recover all your mobility. In hope to read you again quickly, I send you warm hugs 🫂.

Kacey Loveington

Thank you so much Bruno. I will recover and rest and be back with more stories for you all soon 😘 xx

Denny

Take care of yourself

Winans Ash Jr

Best wishes! No baseball. No hand grenades! No dish washing!

JJ

Very sorry to hear about the pain you are going through, Kacey, and very much hope it is a temporary thing and that the surgery goes well. Don't worry about us - just focus on rest and recuperation. These things are a shock to the system, and even minor surgery needs time for recovery. In the meantime, I will be waiting at the lake house with Rose and Amari.

foudespit46

Dear Kacey, I hope the subacromial arthroscopic decompression went well, and that you’re not in too much pain 🙏. As you wrote, now only rest and rehabilitation will allow you to recover quickly... even if it will probably take 3 to 4 weeks before you can regain all your flexibility. I think that all your fans would be happy if you kept us informed from time to time about the progress of your health condition, and in my name and theirs, I am sending you all the good vibes possible. I’m sending you a big hug 👥 and a friendly kiss 😘 from Paris, France. In hope to hear from you soon...

fanfoot

Sorry about the pain but you’re doing the right thing for all of us. We’ll be here when you get back. Good luck.

Rupert

Hope the surgery went well Kace. Good luck with the recovery. Can't wait for the return 🌹

Kacey Loveington

I'll try my best. My husbands settings have been turned to slave mode 😁 xx

Kacey Loveington

Thank you JJ. The Lake House waits for us all. Can't wait to get there myself 😉 xx

michael1001

Understood, but I would second the sentiment at least. Kacey recovering is well worth the price.

john

Praying for a speedy recovery. You'll be missed. 🙏🙏🙏❤️

R G

Ice will be your saving grace and a bit of ibuprofen. For next 48 to 72, ice to control the swelling.

Doug

Glad to Hear the Surgery Went Well!!

Doug

Take the Recovery ❤️‍🩹 Day By Day…….

Bunny

heal fast my new fav writer.... I eel our pain.. I had a heart attack 4 weeks ago..

Kacey Loveington

Thank you bunny. So sorry to hear about the heart attack. I hope you are on the mend and recovering well❤️... don't read too many filthy stories in one sitting 😉 xx

Johnny King

Checking in on you. How's the recovery going?

Kacey Loveington

Boringly 😅 But I am trying to make the most of it by making it as a relaxing time as possible. I'll get the stitches out on Monday. And then a couple more weeks in a sling. But expect I can get back to normal daily routines and writing before the end of the month 🥳 ❤️xx

Johnny King

I'm not asking when you're getting back to writing, I'll save cracking the whip for at least a few weeks. ;) just making sure you are healing. Happy to hear you are doing well.

Kacey Loveington

Thank you Johnny ❤️....and I prefer a spanking paddle over a whip 😜

Simon

So glad to hear the Op was a success and hopefully pain free from now on Kacey ....sending best wishes for a speedy recovery xx

Zaodo

Have you had a thought writing a setting place stuck on bunker or kind apocalypse setting

Doug

Glad to Here You’re Recovery ❤️‍🩹 is Going Well Kacey!!

Doug

Peace ☮️ & Love ✌🏻

Kacey Loveington

Hi Zaodo, I have a few ideas when it comes to apocalypse/bunker stories, and a few scenarios that I think could work well. But I wouldn't say any are imminent just yet. xx

Doug

It’s Coming Home! ⚽️

Kacey Loveington

God I hope not. Anyone but England... I have to live here amongst them 😜 They did look really good though 🤯

foudespit46

Dear Kacey, I'm happy for you. Take all your time to recover totally... and, if you need more time, use it... even if, the sooner, the better...👍🙏🫶

Ian Moone

Hey, sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.
