If you’re referring to Ace, Sabo, and Luffy’s backstories then yes, react. I feel these episodes are crucial and shouldn’t even be considered filler.

I'd say react to them. They don't break the flow and they're pretty fun. So, there's no harm in watching them. Besides, while they're fillers, 497 covers 3 pages from chapter 585 and episode 498 covers a page from 584 and 585 each.
