great episode but hated the way it was film, with the darkness. you better have a 4k tv and put up the brightness to max

The episode wouldn't be named "the long night" if it was any brighter 😂

Arya Stark: -Both parents were killed when she was young -Swore to avenge her parents' deaths -Traveled far away, went to train with assassins -Defying her master, she refused to leave her old identity -Came back home to defend it from villains. -Defeats the villain boss. It's official. Arya Stark is Batman.

What would’ve made it better? Winterfell was literally the last stand for the living. The living have lost every battle against the white walkers until now so it made sense they would finally get a win at winterfell lol

nice one... but the real joke is not being able to actually see the most hyped up epic battle in t.v history... now thats a knee slapper!

I'm a big GOT fan but I was disappointed, You can't teas us with this supposedly main antagonist since minute one of episode one, and 9 years later he get killed like this? no backstory? no motive explained? how did he gain conscious 8000 years ago? what was bran doing? so many questions.

I think/hope they will give that info before the final episode. I dont think they would just build all of this up for nothing.( Hopefully lol) I'm tryna have faith. Especially with this being the final season.

I wish I can be hopeful, since the drift apart with the novel ( season 5) it's getting worse. It will still be one of my favorite shows, but since the war of the bastards it lost something "George R. R. Martin".

I was so disappointed you guys 😭 So much plot armor (Sam should’ve died at least 5 times), it was very hard to see and Arya destroyed the NK in 5 seconds out of nowhere 🤷🏾‍♀️ And tbh it wasn’t Arya’s role to kill him but Jon. They all have their own narratives and own ennemies since the beginning. It didn’t make sense to me

I tell you what I am so with you about the Sam thing. This dude got the other guy killed! I was so irritated with Sam everytime they showed him

allonashareetv
>>22243779

Exactly! The bad thing is Edd told him don't come last episode. It made me annoyed seeing him turn into the dead

They dropped the night king as the main villain for Cersei, and I guess that upset people.

Great episode but story wise I was kinda disappointed. White walkers didnt do shit. Night King was hyped and died in 2 secs. Lol. I didnt mind Arya killing the nught king though.

let's send all our cavalry to their deaths, and only use the damn catapults once, and let's put all our useful infantry in the field for slaughter... The war strategy in this sucked, made me cringe a couple of times, and what's up with all the plot armor.

The show has always been about fighting for the throne. Story wise it never would’ve made sense if the night king was the last villain to kill because it would mean that cercei and Dany would’ve had their battle prior to fighting the night king because of how Cercei is. Honestly, who would you prefer to fight in the end after suffering so many casualties, Cercei or the Nigh King?

I both loved and felt disappointed with this episode. While I absolutely loved the girl power in this episode and Arya is my favorite character, there were many things left unexplained. I was expecting more important characters to die too(can't believe I'm actually complaining about this haha although it's not really a complaint - it's more like an observation). Also, I would have expected more of the Night King and Bran. I loved Theon though! Died like a hero. And Lyanna... Bless her! She was a MVP as well. I had a lot of mixed feelings and while I absolutely adored the fact that Arya was the one to take the NK down, I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon, I was actually not expecting the war to finish so soon. Hopefully we will get some explanation in the following episodes.

SET UP FROM THE VERY FIRST SCENE IN THE SO!!!.. and the last 3 season where everone is saying every 5 mintues that the ONLY WAR THAT MATTERS IS AGAINST THE DEAD!!! and that they are all just kids playing a game and the only real danger is the whites and THEY NEED EVERY MAN TO BAND TOGETHER OR WE WILL ALL DIE!!!... well apparently it only took what ever jon had left over after the battle of the bastereds and danys army of only unsullied ( cant count the dothraki cuz all 40k died with out seeing them kill a single white) so just unsullied and a half beating northern army ended the only war that ever matter in not just 1 battle but a single night... man that was hard glad we needed every living person in wesotors to survive... oh wait you just need 1 and a half kingdoms out of 7 and your fine... so yeah cercei can fuck off i dont care about her

Ian Kirk

Did Bran know Arya would kill the Night King? Think back... who gave Arya the dagger that killed the Night King? Hm hmmmm ;)

all about fighitn for the throne??? i guess you either dont watch the show or didnt read my comment either way ONLY WAR THAT MATTERS IS AGAINST THE DEAD! is what the show it self has been saying for 2 or 3 season now... and to answer your questions night king all day 100%.. i dont even find cercei threatening

Pierre Wickerhoff

After Dany saves Jon he screams Bran! And she says go. For the remainder of the episode all Jon is trying to do is get to the garden to save Bran and if you pay close attention the ice dragon is strictly guarding the garden where Bran and the Nightking are. Jon tries multiple times to sprint past the dragon to no avail.Stuck behind the rock you can see Jon is clearly looking at something or someone (Arya) it makes sense that he wouldn’t make too crazy of a facial expression; when he walked passed Sam and friends getting attacked earlier he barely bat an eye.Moments later Jon Snow stands up to face the dragon and yells “GOOOO GO GO” to Arya as he is creating a distraction. 10 seconds later the Nighking’s general feels a breeze which is Arya the silent assasin sprinting by.It’s the small details.

Considering they’re planning a prequel about the long night when the White Walkers first showed up, they plan on giving backstory then. As for motive, we pretty much got the motive already didn’t we? At least in the show, haven’t read the books. The children of the forest created them to fight the humans that they were at war with. They created the Night King to kill the humans, but for some magical reason that extended from just humans to all life. Their purpose is to erase the living. That’s all.
