What if Laugh Tale is the grand kingdom and Roger hid his treasure there knowing that people all over the world would set out to sea to find it, and by trying to find laugh tale they would inadvertently find out about the grand kingdom. This could be the way he made sure that the knowledge of the ancient kingdom (laugh tale) would be passed down

I thought about that too, but that would mean the World Government knows were laugh tale is and can just destroy it, unless some other as of yet unknown factor prevents them from doing so

My friend brought that up too! We started speculating that maybe most of laugh tale is made from the same stone as the Ponegliffs which the government still hasn't found a way of destroying? Or that finding/entering laugh tale requires something special that the government doesn't have?
