So, a couple things to go over. :) The creators of the show haven't done anything that they've done with this show for no reason. Looking back after watching a few times, there are SO MANY little tiny details that are important and come up throughout the entire series. In season 1, when we first meet Ekko and he's spying on the conversation between Vander and Benzo, he's looking through the eye of a mask that becomes a firelight mask later. So many little things like that. Another Ekko moment here in the last episode is the "sword" or, for better phrasing, the blunt weapon he uses in the end tie into his theme of being able to rewind time. If you look at the clock tower before Jinx and Ekko crash into it, you can see that he's using one of the clock hands, that's his weapon. I won't give every little thing, their are countless moments like that, but I wanted to mention these to get to a specific point. They didn't do anything in this show for no reason, and you mentioned frame by frame art work captures. If you go frame by frame at the end with the explosion where Jinx and Vander fell, frame by frame, there is a pink flash at the start of the explosion, just before it actually goes off. Cait is looking through the design plans of the hexgates where they fell, observing ventilation tunnels. It's heavily theorized that Jinx escaped the explosion. In the first episode, she points out an airship and says "one day, I'm gonna ride in one of those." The series closes with one of those ships flying off into the distance and the "The End" tag shows up immedately after in a standard Jinx style of artwork. People believe (and we all think Cait believes) that she survived and escaped to end the cycle by leaving, rather than ending the cycle by killing herself. One final detail I think is a really cool thing, in episode 1 the series begins with Powder humming/singing the tune there mother used to hum, that was our introduction to the world. In this episode at the end, this time it's Vi humming the tune at the end of these journeys. Seems like you enjoyed the show thoroughly, I'm so happy to have been along for this journey! Looking forward to whatever you decided to do next and I'm hopeful you're able to accomplish everything you want to accomplish with your reactions. :)

Even knowing jinx survived, it still hurts to watch
