Synopsis: Brianna is back, feeling more free-spirited than ever as she walks into a VIP meet-and-greet for America’s favorite foul-mouthed popstar. While waiting in line to meet Ivy Jade, she connects with Courtney, a single mom in her late 30s whose two young daughters are obsessed with the chart-topping singer. Courtney’s youngest still looks up to her, but the older daughter finds everything her mother does embarrassing and cringe. Brianna sees a chance to help Courtney rediscover her spark and shift how her daughters see her by bringing a superstar into their world: Ivy Freaking Jade.

The meet-and-greet photographer snapped candid after candid, catching the genuine, ecstatic joy on Kiki’s and Didi’s faces, Ivy laughing with them, holding onto their hands, leaning in close, fully present. Courtney had never seen them like this. Even with their father, (especially with their father) there had always been a little bit of distance, a little bit of performance.
But this was pure.
She could feel her pulse pounding, her hands lightly clasped in front of her, gripping each other just to keep from fidgeting.
And then Ivy turned to her.
Courtney felt it instantly. Like heat rushing through her, a jolt of electricity straight to her core.
Because Ivy Jade was looking at her. Looking at her.
And then… that smile. Courtney felt her knees weaken.
“Oh,” Ivy said, tilting her head slightly, amused, intrigued. “Are you the nanny?”
Courtney blinked.
Her stomach flipped. Her cheeks went hot, a flood of warmth overtaking her entire face.
The girls immediately interjected.
“She’s our mom!”
Courtney barely heard them.
Ivy’s eyebrows lifted, eyes widening just slightly, and she looked Courtney over, really looked at her, head to toe.
“You’re joking,” Ivy said, genuinely stunned.
Courtney let out a breathless, nervous laugh, something flustered and unsteady. “Uh… nope. Not joking.”
Ivy’s gaze lingered, running over her outfit, her skin, the tight musculature of her body, the youthfulness that clearly didn’t match whatever number she had imagined. “You do not look like a mom,” she said, almost like it was a crime.
And God help her, Courtney was spiraling. She felt so hot. Her brain was barely working. Ivy Jade thought she looked too young, too beautiful, too fit to be a mother. The words buzzed in her skull, replaying, echoing.
She should say something, anything. But all she could do was blush, blush, blush under Ivy’s gaze.
Brianna, standing off to the side, watching this unfold with amusement, just let her smirk widen. Courtney was completely, utterly, overwhelmingly smitten, and she had no idea what to do about it.
Ivy extended her hand toward Courtney, a warm, easy smile still gracing her lips. “Well, it’s really nice to meet you,” she said, her voice effortlessly smooth and natural. Courtney hesitated for only a fraction of a second before reaching out, clasping Ivy’s hand in her own.
And the moment their skin touched… A spark.
Undeniable. Immediate. White-hot and startling.
