She doesn’t turn right away; she already knows who it is.

The space between them feels light at first, then heavy in a way that isn’t uncomfortable.

The world keeps turning, lights blinking on one by one, voices rising and fading,

and she stays there, letting the silence stretch until even the air starts to hum.

It’s not much.

But for her, it’s everything.

世界は回り続け、明かりが一つずつ灯り、声が上がり、そして消えていく。

そして彼女はそこに留まり、静寂が空気さえもざわめき始めるまで静寂が続くのを待つ。

大したことではない。

しかし彼女にとってはそれがすべてなのです。
