"I'm sorry Kathryn Janeway" - Rich Evans

Marvin Falz

Wow, awesome! As much as I would love to get into Next Generation and connect with the characters, since Next Gen was first aired on German TV, I was more connected with Voyager and its characters. Even thematically, because at some point in life, coincidentally when Voyager first aired on German TV, I felt somewhat being in my own personal Delta Quadrant. So, I am really looking forward what you guys have to say!

Jessie Zimmer

I can't wait to show this to my little sister. DS9 and Voyager are her favorite series. Can Jay have a cameo as our beloved Janeway, given their shared love of coffee? Thanks for all the work, fellas and happy Thursday!

andrew

Keep cookin’!

Manuel Johnen

Honestly, I thought "Voyager" sucked back then and I still think it sucks today... not as much as what came after it, but still... There were bad episodes of TOS, TNG and DS9, but the shows themselves were mostly good... "Voyager" is just bad on a constant level.

Kellic

I'm not really a fan of Voyager (It has it's moments though.) but it is far better than Nu Trek. YMMV on this but my favs from best to least is TNG, DS9, ORI, LowerDecks, VOY, ENT, Picard Season 3 (And ONLY season 3), Prodigy, SNW (Season 1 and MAYBE season 2.)....everything else can F off.

I didn't have trouble accepting Chakotay's quick assimilation to the new normal. He was Starfleet, and the issue that dominated his life was suddenly 70,000 light years away. I always had the sense that he was the most resolved to the fact that getting home was unlikely in their lifetime. Episodes like Season 2's Resolutions (the episode with the Outbreak monkey) kind of reinforced that.

Brian Bridges

I've been watching Voyager for months as I listen to The Delta Flyers podcast where Paris and Kim talk about each episode and their memories of making each one. The first few seasons of Voyager were kind of tough to get through because characters aren't super fleshed out and the aliens aren't very compelling. But once Seven arrives (in season 4?) things become much more interesting and there are some great episodes.

Maarrrrj

Fired up Rich Evans is best Rich Evans.

JTruts

Hopefully all these get a Season Two re:View - I'm still hoping for ToS some day damnit!

Kellic

Rich on fire we rarely see and I'm here for it.

Ja Dav

On the lung issue...in Star Trek IV, McCoy had organ growing pills handy in his RX bag.

Ja Dav

In Season 1's antepenultimate episode, one person becomes two. In Season 2's antepenultimate episode, two people become one. In TNG S6's antepenultimate episode, we find out that one person became two 8 years earlier.

Doug Milewski

You think I got time for a two hour discussion about a show I’ve never and will never see???? You know me too well.

Davor Zupičić

We have been graced by another Star Trek entry.

Jeff Kleist

you were far too kind to the first season it was terrible for the most part, the whole show wasn't very good but I'm really looking forward to you doing a spotlight episode on Captain proton, and if rumors are true the new captain proton that is coming. Also Mike must continue to smoke an imaginary cigarette every single time he does the Janeway voice. I could always see her and G'kar with their personal assistants right off camera with their smokes. either of that or Starfleet coveralls can cover a lot of nicotine patches

Marvin Falz

That was a very enjoyable discussion, Mike and Rich, and awesome editing, Mike! I hope you'll talk about the other Voyager seasons as well.

Gareth Storey

I hope they keep going with these reviews by seasons. 7 of 9 needs her day in the sun.

andrew

It’s like that one time Mike Nelson dressed up like Captain Janeway.

Aaron Austin

You turds better do Enterprise at some point. Damnit, if for no other reason than sexy Vulcan clips.

Jessie Zimmer

Paused this one a lot because there was a Tornado Watch in my area. Mike and Rich hating Janeway's hologram story screams, "I had to read classic literature in high school and I'm still kind mad about it". :D

DonMac

It's funny how the decline of Star Trek with nuTrek slop improves opinions of 'Star Trek Voyager' When first broadcast: "Voyager is not as good as TNG." Nowadays: "Voyager is almost as good as TNG!"

Jeremy _

I recall really disliking Voyager. It simply wasn't as good as TNG and DS9. It leaned very heavily on time-travel plots and I never really liked time travel stories. Later on, the addition of Geri Ryan irritated me, because there was this insistence that her character was both fascinating *and* incredibly hot and... I just wasn't feeling it either way. The episodes about them reestablishing contact with Starfleet and then also the two parter "The Equinox" were good, though.

Brandon K

I appreciate the use of "Kesians" and "Neelixians". I approve.

BlueNumberShit

Caffeinated Rich has a filthy mouth, and we approve 👍🏼.

Yngwie Tarantino

Tulaberries from the Gamma quadrant? That's Voyager, yo.

Vandy

I love these long form Star Trek discussion videos. I haven't watched many episodes outside of TOS and TNG since I was a kid, and these reviews have got me hunting down boxsets for some of the shows I didn't really appreciate at the time just because they're so different from anything airing today. Great editing, nuanced deep dives. Fantastic stuff, RLM crew!

DonMac

If the goal of this was to encourage others to do a watch-through of 'Star Trek Voyager', it worked on me. I'm now working my way through all the episodes in order.

Mudo.Josh

These Star Trek discussions is what first got me into YT channel ears back. Great video. Making me want to do a rewatch of Voyager.

Tim Kocher

These are so great. Your recent DS9 videos got me to rewatch that show after many years, plays even better now. Hope you decide to do more seasons of it 🤞😁🤞
