Rich and Jay Talk About The Boys Season 2

Rich and Jay enjoyed the first season of The Boys enough to continue watching, even if episodes of season 2 were pointlessly released weekly instead of all at once.

That pic of Rich never gets old

Jay has returned to his well groomed man form!

I, for one, miss Jay's hair.

Marvin Falz

huh, I had just watched the Eraserhead and FWWM re:Views, seeing some clips from The Return was a cool surprise.

Awww, I just said on the last post that watching the evolution of Jay's hair was the most fun long-term activity I've had during this epidemic. Goodbye, Jay's hair; you will be missed. Your story had so much more to tell, but it was cut short. (also, i wonder how Jay feels about the fact that 60% of the comments so far are about his hair, so I'll also say thanks for the excellent video to have with my morning coffee!). Stay safe, Boys!

and so, the big chop...

I also stopped watching after the first two episodes because it was being released weekly, (and also because I was bored by the first two episodes, and I got spoiled on Stormfront being a super-online memeing 4-chan white supremacist/Nazi, which I thought sounded really stupid). I've been wondering if I should continue because I found the first two episodes really boring compared to the first season, where we learned so much about the characters and they grew and evolved significantly over just that small amount of time. After hearing your review, I guess I'll have to skip your spoilers and go back to continue it. So, thanks again, RLM!

I think episode 4 of season 2 might be my favorite of season 2. It was a lot of downtime for the characters to just chill, go on a roadtrip, reunite Butcher with Becca. Has a lot of sort-of-foreshadowing but overall just really good for observing the characters; not even really developing them, just observing

Jay, all the cynicism will go away when you start reading comics, I promise. I hope Mike starts reading comics too, I know he loves and respect the ninth art. Jay, Rich and Mike talk about comics, can't wait.

Awww goodbye to Jay’s Shawn Hunter hair. I’ll miss you. 🖤

Louis Burke

You pronounced Ennis correctly

Aaron Rivera

Since they are the boys, I dont think they're sitting in a basement, I believe it's called a 'Man Cave'

The counter argument to weekly vs batch is that ideally weekly stays in the conversation for 8 weeks. (S1 of The Mandalorian is the best example). Also it's easier for review sites to have reasonable expectations of what people have seen.

Jessie Zimmer

I haven't watched this show, and have no drive to, but I really enjoy watching y'all talk about it. Happy Thursday!

I love this room they do the Talk About series in. It reminds me of a random guys college apartment

Weekly release benefits Amazon. People go to watch the episode and remember they need to buy novelty socks and a gazebo. If they binge it all it gives Bezo's less opportunity to shake the coins out of your pockets.

I checked out the kills/gore scenes on YouTube... don't think I like this... But the sheer amount of exploding heads made me yearn for a "Scanners"-TV-series again...

I have Prime and the streaming is the "bonus" for me. I prefer everything just being released right away.

Ok, slowly working my way through reviews and now I have found something else to binge watch while stuck in lockdown - Boys Season 1 & 2 on prime
