The Friday the 13th Series - re:View (Part 1)

Booooo spooky season has begun, which means it's time to scare Mike with the most frightening thing of all: a series of movies that are almost indistinguishable from each other so that he can't keep track of what's going on, what happens in which movie, or why he even started watching them in the first place. Booooooo! Nightmare on Elm Street Series re:Views: https://youtu.be/vIFqFUxwExk?si=evqM9nhVNubO6swk https://youtu.be/uoeKIQCZk5s?si=DTphpIcyf867dPNE https://youtu.be/02rEFmPESN4?si=4uoAmuAIKAF_4hFf Previous Friday the 13th re:View: https://youtu.be/mSFGoon-5Wc?si=tnGBcvF2Di0_NvEg

I read this as Friday The 13th The Series and got excited for a moment...

Steven Simmons

Am I taking crazy pills or did we already do a Friday the 13th series re:View?

Conor

On today's episode, Mike is the conductor of The Pain Train

Lionel Mandrake

"This is great!" "This is great!" "Ooo, that sounds great!" "Whoo! This is great!" "This is great!"

Marvin Falz

I honestly believe that one day I will read "Screenplay written by Mike Stoklasa" in the credits of a high-quality production.

Linnea Boyev

When am I going to start seeing « Based on an idea by Mike Stoklasa » in… everything already? Your ideas are always more interesting than all the crap on TV….

DonMac

The one I most want to see in the theatre is "Part 3" if - and only if - it was re-released in actual 3D because of the gratuitous use of 3D effects in it, constantly sticking stuff in the camera. The eyeball popping out, the spear gun shooting at you, the yo-yo scene, the pole sticking out, a rat crawling at you on a 2x4 - all that would be great to see in 3D!

Connor Martin

The franchise so nice, they re:viewed it twice. Happy halloween y'all.

First, loved the edit of the song. Jay really outdid himself there. Second, I'm a little sad Mike didn't like the series, or at least parts 3 and 5. Jay said it, but it's because the films are so dumb that I love them. I know Mike loves schlock, and to me these films are full of schlock. But if he didn't like them that's okay, too. I always respect Mike's opinion, we just have a disagreement on this. I love the hack frauds and the hockey face killer.

That Fellow Traveler

I feel like I've already heard Mike's crazy old-man prequel idea. He's mentioned that before, right?

Jessie Zimmer

Well I'm sad there's no character charts, but the Jason doing the "I gotta go potty" shuffle is damn cute and makes up for it. So glad y'all talk about these movies. Between you and my little sister, I've been getting more and more into horror movies (wasn't allowed to watch them growing up) and having a grand time.

andrew

Mike’s not sure what he did this year.

Jason DeMaria

That song edit. I got earwormed. Damn great job.

Shane

For those following along, there is an unofficial edit of parts 6 and 7 that puts back in the original/full length death scenes. Very well done too considering the source material.

Steffen

Make sure Mike watches the unrated cut of Jason goes to Hell. Probably the only redeeming thing about that movie. Some great gore.

DonMac

It's a shame Jay didn't get Mike to also watch "Part 6" before filming this, because the series is all downhill after that one.

Jeff Kleist

you guys should definitely half in a bag the creator, it was great, it was a real movie with real sets and real human emotion

Frazzled Doo

I’m here waiting to bomb the peewee comments in a few days.. don’t mind me.

Ian Stewart

I'm watching Jason Goes To Hell tonight, thinking... "There's no way Mike made it to the end."
