An update patch for AI-Shoujo and AI-Syoujyo that installs the latest fan-made English translations and essential mods, as well as fixes common issues with the game.

It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game. All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding.

AI-Shoujo can be split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes). You can see a video showcasing the creation part of the game here (the video is for Koikatsu, but the process is almost exactly the same).

HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately (You can buy the game on Steam or on DMM). The base game (AI-Shoujo / AI-Syoujyo), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

Read before installing 

Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ. It was made for the Steam release but most of it applies to the Japanese release as well. 

If you need any help, check the wiki, visit the Illusion Soft Discord server and ask in the #ai-help channel, or ask in comments under this post. The #ai-help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server! 

To keep the download size reasonable, some of the less used mods are not included (mostly studio-only mods). To download them you can use the KKManager mod updater - run it at the end of HF Patch or from the game's launcher.

Patcher changes / 変更

Added support for the Chinese language

The custom launcher is not a part of the translation anymore, it can be used to switch languages like the stock launcher (click on one of the language flags on the left)

Always install parts of some critical plugins, even if they are unchecked (Otherwise the game would just crash and burn)

Quick save script is now enabled by default (Press F5 in game to save the game)

Don't create start.bat in game directory

Check if the game is installed inside a folder that is likely to cause issues, and suggest to move the game to a different folder.

Check if the directory contains other Illusion games (if multiple games are installed to the same directory at least one will be broken to some extent)

At the moment I don't think so. Most of the DLCs were bonuses for preorders and such so they can't be bought anymore. Frankly, they aren't really worth it unlike the KK expansions.

If you are downloading the torrent then try a different client, some clients are known to not work properly. qBittorrent is known to work.

Yes, this patch works fine with the steam release. You might see minor font error in the title screen, but everything else works fine.

You need to download all parts or the archive won't extract. If you still have issue try using latest version of 7zip to extract it.

No, everyone can download and use it freely. You can use the magnet link to download it, paste this link into your torrent client to get it.

Wow, definitely has some issues. Installed it and ran it on the steam version and clicking on the new faces, the eyes are misaligned and show up on the girls cheek bones. All sorts of visual errors. WTF?

The head types have always been like this I believe. As far as I know Roy made them for his cards and called it "good enough". You can complain to him on the discord server.

Make sure you downloaded the compiled patch from links above. The download on github only contains source code. If you got the direct download links then read the direct download post for solutions to common issues.

The new update is not compatible with this patch out of the box, it needs updated BepisPlugins and possibly IllusionFixes. You can probably find a download mirror on the discord server, or you can wait for the next patch update since I will include it.

It still works fine for me, sometimes it can take a few minutes to get started after adding. Maybe try this one if it never starts magnet:?xt=urn:btih:YY4BPMAR2NMULWNI2ISYUXUSS3IMYSXY If that doesn't help try a different torrent client and check if your ISP isn't blocking torrent traffic (VPN is your friend).

I tried both magnet urls with and w/o VPN still not working it says in vuze torrent client that "no sources found" also "no secondary sources" :( Btw i also download other torrents. can you provide a torrent file instead of a magnet url anyways Thanks.

Try qBittorrent, it sounds like your client doesn't work with DHT-only torrents. From what I've seen vuze doesn't strike me as a particularly great or reliable client overall.

Show your output_log.txt, you can post it on the discord server in the #ai-help channel. Before that you can try restarting your PC and reinstalling the patch with all default settings.

Try restarting your PC and check that the files aren't corrupted, check my reply to the person below for more info.

First of all make sure that your antivirus isn't interfering. At what point do you get the issue? If you are downloading the torrent then in your torrent client there should be an option to verify the downloaded files. If you are using the direct download links then go to the direct download post and check the new "Checksums" section I just added to see how to verify if the files are downloaded correctly. If they aren't then try a different download source. If the files are not corrupted then it must be something else. In that case it would be best if you asked in the #help channel on the discord server linked above.

Errors occur during installation says "An error occured while trying to read the source file: The source file is corrupted." I downloaded the patch from the magnet link in this page, the downloaded patch includes 1 .exe file and 4 .bin files.

I can’t get subtitles during scenes. When in creator, while picking the voice, the subs are present however. Checked plug in settings and ensured show subtitles is enabled. Restarted game. Still nothing.

Open your torrent client and look for an option to verify downloaded files, they are most likely corrupted or not fully downloaded. If you still have issues then try a different torrent client like qBittorrent.

I’m currently considering purchasing the AIS but not sure if the HF patch enables the scaling of character model (as in the EC where characters could be expanded/shrunk to various sizes). So could AIS HF patch do the same thing (and to what extent)? Thank you very much!

hi, dear creator having some problems about this patch: 1. Can't properly load character cards and mods (1) when load the character mod (installed by this patch) from the 'Face Tab', eyes/lips/etc. don't show at the correct position, some characters don't change the shape of head. so they really look like ghosts (joke) ... (2) the same situation happen when load the 3-rd party character cards from ' the last top tab'. If load the cards created by the original steam game (even with the official EcstasyPatch0501) this problem doesn't happen. 2. Can't properly display Chinese language, words appear in some squares look like the Font missing problem in Linux, but the game is running in windows 10 :-) For now, the Steam released the game version with Chinese support, but version is still 1.0.1. Does this change leads to this problem and problem 1 ？？？？？ 3. When I‘m trying to assemble my minimal set of plugins as you offered in this patch（only sideloader and uncensore plugins needed），some problems happen： （1） in character maker，mods never show。 （2） uncensore selector drop down list nerver show and no effect on the character when making，but the AI_overlay_mod plugin shows and in-game the character is uncensored. That is Strange :-( Because you are the creator of main plugins so I post this question here，hope you can do me a favor :-） All I used are BepinEX 5.0.1 the latest stable release IllusionFixes_AIGirl_13.1 XUnity.ResourceRedirector-BepIn-5x-1.1.2 BepInEx.MessageCenter_v1.1 BepInEx.ConfigurationManager_v15.1 AI_BepisPlugins_r15.1 AIAPI_1.12.1 AI_OverlayMods_5.2 AI_UncensorSelector v3.9

Hello 1 - It depends on what the card is, maybe you need to update your mods with kkmanager. You also need most of the content and fix plugins installed to load characters properly. 2 - The font bug in main menu is known and will be fixed in next version of the patch. 3 - If you have the steam release then it's difficult to manually mod the game from 0, you need to install the latest version of illusionfixes by following the instructions in its readme. You also need to install harmonyx or update to bepinex 5.1. I suggest using hf patch and deselecting the plugins you don't want instead (except for illusionfixes). If you have more issues it would be better to ask in the help channel of the discord server linked in the post, because it's hard to hold a conversation here.

Make sure that your internet connection is stable, and that you did not hit your download limits, then try again. Error message(check log for more): NO valid update sources were found.
