I've had this question ever since I started working on this project. Personally, the main reason I played AVNs was for the story. Otherwise, what's the point?

So, how many of you actually follow the story closely, and how many go straight for the gallery?

There's a missing option - I play for both the story and the scenes.

To me, a good VN needs to have two things, a good history and pretty girls. That's why this game is one of my favorites, you have some of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen in any VN.

I didnt at first, but I came to enjoy some of the characters, so I ended up joining the patron to get thr current version, and replayed from the start to read the story

Of course I pay attention to the story. I wouldn't love Maia or Alex as much as I do without it. I also wouldn't care for the world or the overarching plot if it wasn't written well. So yes, I absolutely pay attention to the story.

Can't edit the poll unfortunately. Just pretend the first choice includes both story and scenes since they kinda go hand in hand in AVNs. You can't really have a good story with awful scenes, and vice versa.

The art and character design attracted me. The sex scenes are good and the begining whom doesn't give the MC unlimited power is always welcome. A story with fun parts and darker plots and choices that have influence. Yeah not skipping any of that.

While I play AVNs with not so good (or even shit) stories, I almost never support them with my money. Your story is really interesting, and of course the LIs are beautiful and diverse.

Sorry if this becomes to long and ill try to be vague to avoid spoilers. Its been interesting. Alot of unanswered questions with alot of potential. How did he get there, can his memories be trusted as someone he knows looks exactly like someone in this world. What is MC's role in this world. I dont know i feel about discovering him not having mana was from a "leech". How did he pick up this leech? I also like some parts of the MC, more specifically when he is being nice or honorable, his dialog is really thought out. Besides the story I like all the sex scenes, and like how much options there is for Anal.

The games I support must have story. If the story doesn't interest me, I don't spend to much time in that game. But I also like (and what usually get's my attention) is the quality and how the renders look. So I would say it must have both. Keep the good work.

When i get to the point where i start skipping dialogues, it means the story wasn't interesting enough and usually i stop playing that game not much later. For this one, it's the opposite, i can't wait for more and i'll continue support it for as long as it stay on this path.

If the writing style is the kind that i like i will read thoroughly. But if the author think he's the new Jules Verne i will skip to see if the "scene" are worth it or just drop the game.

Good narration and character development is a must for me, if I just wanted scenes there are plenty of those made in Daz, Honey Select or AI at free streaming adult sites. Your lewd scenes are already top notch IMO, but the story and character parts are somewhat average currently though I do sense gradual improvements along versions.

I won't buy or remember VNs that don't have interesting stories and characters with meaningful choices.

Honestly, I started out just chasing the scenes, but I ended up genuinely hooked on the story. What I love most are those end-of-chapter summaries that change based on your choices—such a cool touch and easily my favorite part.

I absolutely love your game — the variety of storylines, how believable and well-reasoned the events are, and especially the choices that let the protagonist be more S or more kind-hearted. I'm really looking forward to the continuation of your story!

Some of the side story stuff I skim over, but not usually. For many other games, they story has SO MUCH dialog, that it makes it not fun. I find the mix of story and interaction in Him to be compelling, and really enjoy it, so have been really following along. Great work!
