With the fall of Kokichi, the atmosphere between Jogo and Sukuna became tense once again.
Almost at the instant the two locked eyes, firelight condensed around Jogo, and countless flames gathered into Flame Dragons, roaring as they charged toward Sukuna.
Feeling this scorching aura, Sukuna did not hesitate for a moment. He chose to meet the enemy with fire, once again assuming a stance as if drawing a bow.
To make Jogo lose in a way that left him completely convinced, Sukuna poured nearly twenty percent of this body's Cursed Energy into this single attack.
"Open."
Keep in mind, Sukuna's total Cursed Energy was terrifyingly vast. Even Yuta, who had the most Cursed Energy among humans, could barely reach half of his level.
It could be said that the gap in Cursed Energy between Jogo and Sukuna was extremely vast. If Jogo was a one, then Sukuna was at least a seven.
However, since there were only fifteen fingers currently inside Sukuna's body, his total Cursed Energy had been significantly lowered, dropping from a seven to a five.
But combat power cannot be determined by the total amount of Cursed Energy alone, it also depends on the conversion rate of that energy.
As a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Jogo's very body was composed of Cursed Energy, and his conversion rate was ridiculously high. This was what allowed him to fight Sukuna on equal terms.
"Come. Let us settle this with this one strike. Let me burn you to ashes with my flames!"
At the moment the flame arrow collided with the Flame Dragons, the expected shockwave of energy did not occur. Instead, the flame arrow passed directly through the bodies of the dragons as if it were an illusion.
Seeing this, Sukuna's movements stiffened for a split second.
Why did it pass through? My attack was actually avoided by his... No! It's an illusion!
The moment he realized this, he turned his head.
As expected, Jogo, covered in flames, had appeared behind him at some point. He poured the vast majority of his Cursed Energy into his fist and swung it.
Sukuna lived up to his title as the King of Curses. Even when ambushed in a situation where he couldn't fully react, his body instinctively concentrated Cursed Energy at the point of impact.
Jogo's massive golden pupil suddenly widened, and a glint of golden light flashed within it.
Explosive Gaze!
The Cursed Energy Shield that Sukuna had instinctively formed was shattered, and his vital kidney area was struck by Jogo's punch.
Boom!
Streaks of black lightning erupted from the point where their bodies collided. The original power was amplified to the power of 2.5. The flesh at Sukuna's waist exploded, and he was sent flying back while spitting out blood.
This punch had severely damaged Sukuna's internal organs, and his eyes were filled with blood. After crashing through several high-rise buildings, he slammed into the ground, unable to stand up for a moment.
Jogo shook his numbed hand and looked at the bright red blood on it, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.
Just before he swung his fist, he had used a Binding Vow to not open his eye tomorrow morning, successfully forcing this punch to trigger a Black Flash.
Even Jogo himself hadn't expected Sukuna to be so resilient. He hadn't died after taking so many Black Flashes and had only just reached the threshold of being heavily injured. He truly was the King of Resistance.
While the battle continued in the sky, Shibuya below suffered. Nearly half the city was razed to the ground, and many survivors, and even Jujutsu Sorcerers, died as a result.
...
Two minutes ago, on the ground.
"Ha!"
With the strike of a hammer, a nail imbued with Cursed Energy pierced into the head of the Transfigured Human in front of her.
With a thought from Nobara, the nail burrowed into the flesh, then continuously darted around inside the Transfigured Human's body, causing destruction.
Within a few seconds, purple blood began to spray from the Transfigured Human, and it collapsed, its insides turned into a mess.
"That's another one. Inumaki-senpai, what should we do now?"
Inumaki Toge watched the collapsed Transfigured Human and gestured toward the right. He pointed his finger downward and then alternated his index and middle fingers back and forth.
"Salmon."
"Inumaki-senpai, you mean there should be survivors over there, so we should go help them, right?"
Inumaki Toge looked satisfied and nodded vigorously.
Nobara put away her hammer and pulled the blood-stained nail back from the Transfigured Human's body, stowing it away.
"Then let's head out now, Inumaki-se..."
Before she could finish her sentence, a massive beam of light descended upon the world.
Nobara's eyes widened as she personally witnessed the running Inumaki Toge turn to ash. She herself was also sent flying by the shockwave, slamming into a pile of rubble, grimacing in pain.
Watching Inumaki Toge die right before her eyes, vanishing into ash, her lips began to tremble.
"Inumaki-senpai..."
She stared at the bottomless crater before her in disbelief, her entire body trembling.
She could never have imagined that the boy who usually barely spoke, using only sushi ingredients to replace words—that gentle, kind-hearted boy who wanted to save others—would die so easily.
But soon, Nobara was spared such worries. Another collision of beams and flames erupted, and a sky-filling wave of energy swept down.
She watched the flames expanding in her field of vision, wanting to rise and defend herself, but it was too late.
As the flames and lasers swept past, her body turned into a pile of ash, vanishing from this world.
In the battlefield of Shibuya, where Special Grades gathered, low-level Jujutsu Sorcerers like Nobara and Inumaki Toge had absolutely no chance of survival.
