[Community Post] Cartographer, Battle Map Maker & Writer - Get To Know Me More (Patreon)

Hey everyone, I hope you're all keeping well!

As we approach 1000 members, I have thought more and more about the best steps forward for this corner of the internet and whether maps will always be the primary way forward. In short, I believe they will be, however, I wanted to express that I am much more than just a cartographer and battle map maker - I am a writer, and have been for over half my life. A part of the reason I love making maps for you guys is that they can tell their own subtle stories but I often wonder about just sharing my stories too!

So, for this post, I am going to share a 4 page piece that I have written - it's one of my favourites. It is not fantasy so I understand if it's not to your taste - this won't be a common thing, maps will be the front of my focus. Instead, this is a short piece about growing up and travelling, so you might resonate with it. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts.
