Going to do a revision of Chapter 13 this week... (Patreon)

Whether you are a one dollar or ten dollar patron I personally think that you all deserve the best that I can offer, I honestly feel that I have failed in that regard with Chapter 13.

As I mentioned in an earlier post I have been ill this past week, unfortunately I was prescribed one of those cough medicines that you aren't supposed to drive or operate heavy machinery while taking it. I think writing, proofreading and editing need to be added to that list.

Today I stopped taking the cough medicine and took a look at what I had written with a completely clear head for the first time in almost a week. Sadly, it was necessary that I re-read Ch 13 because I was honestly having a hard time remembering what happened in it, something that is not normally an issue for me especially so soon after I've finished a chapter, and I noticed about the time that Kal heads off to see Aradelle on his own... things seem to go kind of downhill. Missing words, poor wording, poor descriptions... ugh, I'm truly ashamed that I offered this to you as a completed piece.

With the faith and support you all have shown me by becoming my patrons, you all deserve better.

That being said I am going to dive into Ch 14 in a few minutes and also revise the second half of Ch 13 as well, with luck getting them both out by Saturday as usual.

Perhaps I'm being too picky about my work but I take a lot of pride in it and try to hold myself to a higher standard.

On a final note most of the errors and things that needed changing were structural in nature so re-reading Chapter 13 shouldn't be necessary when I'm done, though it should be more enjoyable and cohesive than the first time around.
