Slowly but surely. I had hoped to have this chapter done and off to Oldfart and 2muchdiggity today. Instead, I've been having a conversation with an artist for the past... six hours?! (holy crap!) It's sounding like she will be the one to do the cover art as well as some other art related stuff for me.

WillowRaven certainly knows her stuff and I feel like I've been Zangeif-style spinning piledrivered to the bottom of this particular rabbit hole. In the coming months i'm sure that not only her art but also her knowledge of the methodology for getting manuscripts published will be invaluable.

In other news I'm seriously thinking about splitting book one into two separate books for when they go up on Amazon. Most of the fantasy books in my personal library run 350-400 pages. Estimates based upon word count have TRC:OatF at 770 pages.

A bit much for a day read IMHO.

If that were the case I would have to quit thinking of this as a trilogy since I would technically be working on book 3 right now... and there's a lot more yet to come.

Nothing is set in stone just yet though I have a tentative title of TRC: Above and Below since it would pick up just before the journey to Felli's Mountain and Silma's Lava Lake. On that same note Ch 12 of TRC: SftS would put me at 12,000 words or just above 350 pages as well. TRC: Predators are the Prey? It seems to be a common, if unintentional theme so far. Anyway, it's just a thought.

We're slowly getting things straightened out at work and my body is getting used to it so i'm not just falling into an exhaustion fueled  coma every day when I get home. I'm still looking forward to the day when I can do this full time. Soon, hopefully.

Sitting at 15 pages so far and will be getting Ch 11 out as quickly as I can.

Gotta say, switching over to "Per creation" is certainly a helluva motivator.

I agree with Jedi and Taco. Also, don't get stuck in the "Trilogy" mindset. It takes however many books it takes, cut it up how you like. I actually prefer series with more than 3 books.

Personally, I like the books with 4-500+ or more page books. They tend to last longer then just a days worth of reading. But that's me. But as the others have said, avoid mind traps and go with what feels best for you.
