Short story: Caught is off to the editors. (Patreon)

Okay, not so short of a story.

First off, Caught is not tied to TRC in any way and is a bit of a departure from my normal fare (No magic? Gasp!) and I want to stress that this is not the start of another series. It is intended to be a standalone just-for-fun short story.

Last post I had an idea for a quick little story for everyone until I got the next chapter of TRC out. Actually, the idea had been bouncing around in my head for a week or so by that time.

I sat down and started writing what was supposed to be a short, 3k words/6 page story.

My muse walked up behind me and said "Ohh, you're working on that one finally?" Then proceeded to smash my face into the keyboard for the next few days until it was finished.

28 pages and almost 12k words later I'm sending it off to Oldfart and 2muchdiggity.

Tbh I'm mildly annoyed with myself. Had I known I would put out that much that fast I would have directed that energy towards the next chapter. However, when I launched into Caught I made some changes to my workspace to help me focus more on my writing and I have a feeling that those have something to do with this burst of productivity.

These changes were prompted by a YouTube video by Martin from the band Wintergatan that you can check out here but most people know him from his Marble Machine video that went viral back in 2016 ( https://youtu.be/IvUU8joBb1Q ) He said a lot of things that I've heard many times before but it seems like watching his video it finally sunk in.

I'm hoping this bodes well for TRC and any other projects I may take up in the future.

Fyi - For those of you who learned about TRC through AO3 you may notice that my stories are no longer on there. Oni and the Farmer was hidden, then deleted, then later I was banned from the site. All with AO3 never communicating why any of this happened and despite my making numerous attempts to contact them. Instead of messing with any of it I just went and deleted my account from there completely. I'm disappointed but looking at it as one less site I need to post to on Friday.

There is a possibility that I might get Caught back and be able to post it tomorrow, Oldfart and 2muhcdiggity are usually good about quick turnarounds. With how things have been I with so many people just starting to get back on their feet financially I would like your opinions if I should post it tomorrow (if possible) or wait until after the first. Hence, the poll.
