I dun screwed up... (Patreon)

So... my plan was to have this chapter out by the 1st, hence my reason for holding back the last one.

Yeah... I fucked up.

Though I was sitting at 15 pages in my last post some of those were part of the epilogue which I am now not counting toward my page/word count. I also wrote in a scene that, while fun, doesn't actually move the story along. I am also not counting those pages toward the chapter as I see them as mostly filler. Fun and sexy filler, but filler none the less.

Both of those things are kind of beside the point.

Where I screwed up is by horribly underestimating just how much ground I needed to cover in this last chapter. Yes, I could do a "data dump," kind of like the end of the first book or the beginning of SW: Rise of Skywalker. But I've never been happy with how I wrapped up the first book and don't want to make that mistake again.

Long story short I'm sitting at 27 pages so far (including the "fun" scene) and I still have a list of things that need to be gone over before the end of the book.

It's looking likely that there might be a Chapter 30 instead of just a long Chapter 29. I'll make that determination depending on how things look at the end of the day (Sundays are a big writing day for me as I mostly have the house to myself).
