I’m interested to see how far Kal will go for vengeance, especially to help ikuno get her revenge, still can’t tell if I like the more callous Kal or not.

Definitely nice to see Kal be a little more callous, I really feel there's almost no way he couldn't be after some of the things he's dealt with. Not to say he should go all the way but the occasional anger at people for how they treat others that would push him beyond his normal limits makes a lot of sense to me for his character.
