Sitting in an all metal building in a town that has crappy cell service with my phone across the room in a window so i can use my mobile hotspot to get this out. I'll update this section later when i get somewhere with decent service.

Will get the artwork of Kal posted when that happens. It took 5mins to upload four text files i dont want to see how long it will take for those images. :P

Stay tuned!

I've been loving the details you put in on the spell. Nowhere else have I read such detailed descriptions of the limitations, difficulties and the physics of a single spell. Magic is obviously complex and not as easy as most fantasy stories play it (point your wand/finger/mind towards target, ad mana and presto, fireball) You encompass thermodynamics, environmental factors, chemical and physical laws into the mix and thus the story is one of the best I've read.

Nothing to be sorry for :D I enjoy these little tangents as they make me define things and bring aspects of the story into sharper focus. I believe the thing to remember is that in both situations Kal needs to generate enough force upward with the flight rune to cancel out the effects of gravity on both him and Kashka. If she were riding piggyback he could increase the power going into the spell and split it between them where if she were dangling on a rope he would still need to increase the energy going into the flight rune by a similar amount but it would all be focused on his body. As far as transferring magic to others I try to think of it in terms of the inverse square law, the magic diffuses quickly into the surrounding environment. It can be done, but only at very small distances before the energy requirements for the same effect become astronomical. This could be mitigated by a rope with a silver/gold/platinum (and copper to a lesser extent) wire core.
