I think almost every guy can sympathize with Kal's lack of restraint on this page.😁

In other news:

Bludraygn.com is a thing. The Librarium Draconis doesn't do much at the moment but people who drop their email  there can get a copy of "The Prologue." I didn't see much point in making a fuss about it here since you all have access to it already. However, it is pretty freaking cool to have a website of my own. I've built them in the past for friends and family but this is the first one just for me.

I have been in talks with a potential publisher (don't ask who it is, the company doesn't want to be named until a deal is finalized) and sadly they told me that OatF is simply too long to invest in. Long ago I brought up the idea of splitting OatF and SftS into 2-3 books each and nobody was terribly excited about the prospect. Unfortunately, in order to make them palatable for publishers, those splits may be unavoidable.

This revelation is also changing how I'm looking at LotGD as well. The scene where Kal and Kashka say goodbye to Bala sets up a natural stopping point to end a book on.

However, seeing things this way leaves me in an odd position: Instead of writing two books and working on a third, I will have written 5-6 books and be working on my 6th or 7th. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that.

Despite my difficulties in head wrappage, I'm curious what your opinions are on splitting the books and if you have any suggestions for SftS. At 31 chapters I think it's feasible to say I could get three books out of it (Carriston, Meeting Sera/assault on the ants, and finding Te'thalas) Let me know what you think and leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Art News:

Silma's character art will be going up in a few minutes for Oak and up (Nudes for Ironwood) and I want to say that I will probably be revisiting her sometime in the near future. Bun did an excellent job, as usual, but I think I lost sight of my original vision of her. The Silma in my mind as I originally wrote her was sleek and dangerous, like a Bond girl or Black Widow. This version, while there is still a slight sense of danger, falls more into the "comfortable" category. Unfortunately, I didn't come to this realization until Bun was making the final adjustments. I have a few others that I think need attention before redressing Silma (Daxas, Ria, Sera) so her revamp won't be anytime soon.

Long Overdue:

A new patron asked for a complete version of SftS and I was somewhat disappointed with myself that I had not posted this yet. I think that somewhere in the back of my head I wanted to wait until I had been able to go over it and do some editing first but that may still be a way off. So, here it is in all of its glory. 😁 (If I have posted this before and simply forgotten, don't be too hard on me... plz🥺)

I did make a couple of changes like dropping the add-on story where Kal knocks up Velt and Graff into the book proper (where it belongs) and moved Just a Sip (Rowan's story or "Ch 17+"... the ending still brings a tear to my eye when I read it) to the end of the book with Senshu and Molo's add-on scenes.

Edit: LTS Folders have been updated with Silma's artwork.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Stay safe!
