And why are we getting a chapter of The Witch's Offering instead of TRC?

Not gonna lie, I was expecting December to be a rough month for writing. Lots of traveling for Christmas and other holiday obligations. But then my wife took a new position within the church she works for which has now left us house/rental hunting since our house came with her position as a pastor. As if that wasn't enough, the massive tornado that ripped through Arkansas, Tennesee, and Kentucky passed just a few (terrifying) miles south of our house. One of my family members just returned home from spending a week with us helping the cleanup effort. The point is lots of stuff going on, not much time for writing.

But really, while that's an update as to what's been going on in my life it's not the reason I posted a chapter of TWO new years eve.

The fact of the matter is that the end of Ch. 19 was not planned. Azrin sensing Kal was planned, but not the lich attacking Kashka. To put it frankly, I screwed myself over with this. I now have a situation that needs resolving, and I started out Ch. 20 doing just that.

I got a few pages in and my brain said, "Nope, fuck this."

I sat for hours staring at what I had written and struggling for each new sentence. When I finally sat back and read what I had, I fucking hated it. I won't go into details because of potential spoilers but trust me, you would have been just as unhappy with it.

Getting nowhere on Ch 20, I switched gears and began working on the next TWO Chapter while hoping for a flash of inspiration to help me with TRC. And when I woke up on Jan 1st that inspiration was... start over from scratch.

I didn't like where 20 was going, my resolution did nothing to actually move the story along, and I especially didn't like the future implications for Kal and Kahska (especially Kashka) in what I had written. So, I'm scrapping it and starting fresh.

New Year, clean slate. Hoping for better results on this second go.

I also hope those who got to see Dax and her pack enjoyed it, I will be contacting Tort 9 for another page for the comic but will be waiting a month to talk with Bun about more character art as this last piece was very pricey with so many girls in it.

I think that's all I have at the moment.
