Turning any fabric into a 3d applique is just that simple! Honestly, making an outfit inspired by Valentino without Valentino money, I knew I needed something extra to make the corset POP!

All you need is:

a sewing machine with a zig zag stitch

fray check (I get mine from Wawak)

sharp little scissors

Bonus: Free motion foot

This has def upgraded my skills in adding an extra special detail in my future makes! I hope this tutorial helps you in your own sewing journey.

Happy stabbing,

Wendy

That's awesome!! I'm really glad I watched because my silly butt would probably have cut out the appliques first and then struggled hard doing the rest of the steps 😂 For those of us who don't have a machine that can either do a satin stitch or zigzag, can we apply the same principle (albeit tediously) with satin stitches done by hand?

100%!! I think I’d do the fray check, cut, and then do the satin stitch or a blanket stitch potentially to get similar results!!

Ooo I forgot about the blanket stitch!! That sounds perfect ✨️

It might be easier and can help further lock in those edges!!
