Out of all the sleeve designs, I was the most familiar with Viviane! She is my elven, witchy sleeve but can alsoooo be casual if you shorten the hem of the volante (its the long cascading part of the sleeve).

In the photos, my friend Nadine is wearing the Avalon duster in VELVET. I don't know about you, but I realized that the type of velvet I used to create this particular duster is heaavy. This duster was 6 pounds in total. BUT this was a micro velvet, meaning it had a shorter pile, and was more forgiving in the "right" direction. I do love the sheen the fabric brought and I still recommend it if you are wanting extra drama.

From this version, I will be going into fabric weights and recommended fabric weights for each duster! so yay to learning!!

The Viviane is gorgeous too!! I'm excited to learn about fabric weight and how that will affect the Avalon that we decide to make!!

Ooo, that's super exciting!! I can't wait to learn all about it! What do you recommend for safeguarding the bottom hem in case it drags on the ground?

I am thinking of introducing a hem braid?? not super sure if I will include it just yet because I am trying to figure out the easiest way to explain it!

Ooo neat! If it ends up on a later design, we can always go back and incorporate it :D
