Quick question for newer supporters, especially those who joined since March 9: I’ve noticed some unusual membership stats lately, and before I contact Patreon support, I wanted to ask whether any of you ran into checkout or payment issues when trying to join a paid tier.

I had a problem in either January or February where the payment didn’t go through and I said “try it again” and the transaction just wouldn’t complete, despite me having plenty of room on my card. Solution was to cancel my membership and immediately rejoin with a new card. I’ve since tried to reset this membership‘s setting back to the old card but it doesn’t want to stick. This month’s payment came off the new card.

It also happened on my Patreon, some members tried to purchase a paid subscription or just wanted to keep their subscription and it didn't work/ their subscription was cancelled

Biggest problem with this glitch is it screws with my ‘stats’. My membership details will say ‘Since (XXXX)’ and I’ll be like “It’s actually been a year but I’ve had to cancel-and-rejoin three times!” 🤣
