You're not crazy, they switched the actress that played Elanor Waldorf in the pilot to this new (superior) one, and yeah in this episode they showed how much pressure Blair feels from her mom to be and to stay "skinny" and the insane beauty standards she's put through by her own mother...which we also did see in the pilot as well with this OG Elanor

They did switch the actress for Elenor Waldorf from the pilot episode, a change that I really like! I’m familiar with the new actress from other projects, and I enjoy her presence, even when she’s being a horrible person. Lol. The first glimpse of Blair’s insecurities definitely makes me more empathetic towards her than I have been so far, so we’ll see how that develops. Also- I really enjoy how Dan went to both Serena and Blair to try and iron things out. I remembered those scenes specifically from when I first watched the show but didn’t realize it happened so early on. Carter Baizen seems to be a shit person so far, but I can’t help but lowkey like the character because it’s Sebastian Stan, lol. Great reaction, can’t wait for more!
