I know you're confused about the random new people, but this is a backdrop for Addison's spinoff show, Private Practice. I'll be the first to admit that the two episodes didn't do the best job showcasing the spinoff, and I'll also admit that the first season is pretty slow, but you're definitely gonna wanna watch the show. It has quite a few crossovers with Grey's.

yeah this episode is confusing. it’s what’s called a backdoor pilot. Shonda does it quite often because a lot of her shows interconnect. This is the backdoor pilot to Addison’s spinoff called Private Practice. i honestly really like the show, if you have time you should check it out! And yeah Burke seemingly just ignoring what Christina said about wanting a small wedding? bloooood red flag

most people disliked this episode cause it was a soft launch for Addison's spin-off but I love it cause the more Addison the better imo. and the Callie x Christina interactions during this episode were hilarious, but Burke not seeing how uncomfortable Christina was with the whole mothers situation plus the wedding planning when she said she wanted a small wedding...

Yea not my favorite episode I've never really connected to Addison good for her spin off I just didn't like it

yeah the way you fell in love w/ Addison, we all did & they gave her a spin off. eye think its aight, i’ve watched a bit cuz Taye Diggs goofy self is in it lol. but eye prefer Addison in grey’s more than in her own show… actually, its because of the other characters. they’re just not as interesting to me. lmaooo

when private practice started, I wasn’t open to it; I’m not sure how much I tried … anyway: the beginning of lockdown i watched it, and I actually liked it; it’s enjoyable once you get into it (I think if you like greys, you may like it … especially if you like Addison)
