this show’s interest in Lolita is almost comical to me. like the book itself i don’t have an issue with, Vladimir Novikov’s book is an intriguing dissection into the mind of a pedophile, and says rather plainly that the antagonist we follow is a sick man, who is completely in the wrong, and his victim realizes this by her adulthood as well. the adaptations of the book however, is where hollywood shows its colors and gets creepy. over sexualizing the young actresses playing Lolita, blurring the lines of age, consent, and moving the narrative from one of condemnation towards one of glamorization ala Call me by your Name (dont even get me started on that fuckass movie) but it’s just interesting to me because you call tell that this show leans into the movie Lolita energy than the book

I LOVE this episode! My anxiety was so high watching Hanna try to hack that computer. Her and Caleb are the best couple 🥰 and as much as I hate the Ezaria of it all I didn’t want Byron to catch them. 😬
