Seriously Huck needs to talk to Quinn. I feel like him avoiding her is gonna make Quinn worse

And remember, last season, in one of the flashback episodes, when Fitz is with Liv in the elevator, forcing a kiss on her, Mellie interrupts them and profusely apologizes to Olivia, knowing full well what happened to her.

It hit so hard !! And yes, in the beginning they realoved each other. But with a trauma like that....

Gracia

And she says she sacrificed alot for Fitz, she really did !! Knowing his secrets too !! I will be Team Mellie forever

This episode is always so heartbreaking. i will say, when it comes to the adultery of it all, i don't enjoy Fitz and Olivia because they're very annoying to me, first and foremost. I don't really feel bad for Mellie in terms of being cheated on because its clear their relationship is only for show well before Olivia entered the picture. Also the reveal about Mama Pope? Oh this show will always get a ten from me!!

This episode is so important for understanding Mellie as a character. However watching it back all these years later, it hits even HARDER and I gotta say. If I never have to watch another r*pe scene in a show or movie as long as I live, I’d be very happy :(

Big Jerry was a piece of shit but if we are being forreal at that time Fitz LOVED Mellie and would have dropped everything for her. Fitz never wanted to be in office like that and would have said fuck all that shit for and stood up for Mellie. Mellie wanted the White House and sacrificed herself for it. We cannot necessarily say she sacrificed for Fitz because Fitz didn’t want it really in the beginning, Mellie and Jerry wanted it for him. Mellie is a political powerhouse and she wants her spot no matter what it takes. F*ck Jerry and the scene with Mellie brings back flashbacks to my own personal experience on more than 1 occasion. The difference is I told someone who I trusted and loved me but there was never anything for me to sacrifice like that to have to weigh my options. I didn’t want anything that bad to hold something that heavy and sacrifice my sanity and peace of mind. Holding on to something like that without telling anyone I couldn’t imagine. Sorry for the long think piece.

It has been a joy re-watching the show well more like watching cause I forgot 99% and never completed the show through the lands of someone who can’t stand Olivia and Fitz. Most people adore them so it has been so fun watching it and how you are annoyed every time they belonged for each other. 😭😂

Spazztastic

I will never root for affairs and was always disgusted by Olivia and Fitz together always knew in my gut that there was a reason I felt so deeply for Mellie as Fitz's wife and somehow just KNEW she went through some crazy stuff with her husband. People would call her an ice queen and all sorts of things but I knew they were going to do something astonishing with her character and THIS episode solidified my love for her. She leveraged her assault to get the support her husband ALWAYS wanted from his father to make his political dreams come true. THAT'S how much she loves him. My heart BROKE for Mellie in this episode but it showed the audience that she really loves her husband and that it was never about the power for her.
