you're also right about Damon. at some point we're going to need to see genuine growth and evolution and eventually it has to happen otherwise the character remains stagnant. problem is Damon right now thinks he needs to change for Elena to accept him but he needs to change for himself. it does happen I'll tell you that much but it's surprising when it happens and WHO brings that out of him. and it's no surprise that it ain't Elena.
