When I first watched the show I was also confused why blood bags aren’t always just the option. But I googled it 😂 and Fresh human blood is more satisfying/stronger to a new vampire. Elena is also struggling with the transition and her blood cravings are extremely intense so having a blood bag might not “satisfy” her the same way drinking from the vein would and then she could be more likely to go on a killing spree wanting more blood. Also Damon thinks drinking from a living person helps her accept her vampire instincts rather than trying to suppress them. Blood bags can provide nourishment, we see vampires drink bagged blood but Damon considers drinking from the vein more effective for someone struggling with hunger and is an important step for a new vampire so they learn to control it early.

i feel like the writers that came in for this season really just wanted to tear stefan's character down. he's so different from how he was and theres no consistency. i feel like the new writers not only never understood stefan but also don't know how to write the "good guys" without making them BORING AS HELL! ugh, i hate it.

i’m sorry but i don’t agree w damon at all being mad at stefan for listening to elena’s wishes. she would’ve never forgave stefan for saving her instead of matt and that wouldn’t be damon’s problem at all. the difference between the two brothers is that stefan actually puts her wishes first, damon would’ve saved her in a heartbeat to feed his own selfishness

the whole stefan saving matt first feels so FORCED, even the actor of stefan (paul wesley) disagreed and even argued with the writers because he said stefan wouldn't do that but the writers were just desperate to make elena a vampire and make delena happen sooo (my opinion guys pls dont come at me but the whole actor part is true)

i loved season 4 like elena being a vampire is like GOLDEN , i still get goosebumps everytime i see this scene!!🤍. as for the whole elena saving situation i saw this many times and steffan was really tryna save elena but elena said no like putting her arms to stop steffan and she pointed to him basically indicating to save matt.
