Yeah everyone sounds stupid as hell in these episodes besides Octavia and Kane. They want us to believe Bellamy is acting this way because Gina was killed by a grounder? The girl that we saw for two minutes? And because Clarke “abandoned” him when he came to save her during the summit? Pike and his people make this season so hard to watch. It definitely gets better but for now.. they SUCK. I love the part where Jaha says “Wells?” GAGGED.

Luis Mondragon

I’m ngl, Pike was moving like Netanyahu

Alyssa Dyson

The writing is a little off this season so far because these characters are acting nutty

tashaa

jaha storyline this season will always be hilarious to me 😭😭😭 because what even be happening

I think you were talking about my comment about Bellamy last reaction sorry my nut ass was lowk saying stuff in hindsight. But tbh yeah you’re right it does seem out of nowhere for Bellamy to start behaving like this in s3. It didn’t show him gradually following Pike it was just boom overnight so that’s probably a writing flaw and time constraint thing idk. It was just too sudden, but my reasoning when I said he was ‘always’ like this moreso came from how in season 1 he used fear and violence to lead without expanding his perspective he was very stubborn. Ik at that point it was justified against the grounders at least because they were at war but he was aggressive to his own ppl too, he always was kind of privy to a radical mindset and it was Clarke who helped change him. He was leading fights more than he was the people, Clarke was. When he was leading the people they had to take their cuffs off for food😭 so I feel like this future was written into his character from the beginning. Just imagine he landed with farm station in the beginning he would be Pike’s #1 soldier without question. He IS strong and smart though, but even in mount weather he was following a mission. He’s a good leader in that sense. And it’s kind of more like a theory but a big thing of this season that ppl keep bringing up is how Clarke hasn’t been around, Clarke has been gone, so it kind of just alludes to everything went downhill in Arkadia because she wasn’t there to stop anything. Even Bellamy saying to Clarke “you left me” indicates a pain there she was a strong moral compass for him(doesn’t justify becoming a mass murderer) And I feel like all of that kind of just mixes with Bellamy being influenced by Pike. It does make sense for his character to me bc I did say I believe he has a weak mental and his guilt led him to make horrible decisions which is why that’s his weakness he may have been a strong willed person in mount weather bc his objective was to save his friends but now he’s a strong willed person under Pike with his objective being this bs🙃 I assume the writers wanted to write him to be the kind of person that could be easily radicalized just bc something happened to them, as many ppl like that exist, because it’s ppl like Bellamy who are the reason ppl like Pike become leaders

Alyssa Dyson

The 12 clans could wipe them out if they could get close enough....arkadia has guns and bombs....it would be a massacre on both sides.

SkyS

Same. I be laughing my ass off🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ava

#BLOODMUSTHAVEBLOOD.

SkyS

Yeah the 10 against 300 doesn't make sense at all. It never did to me. These people have spears and bows....

SkyS

I get what you saying I definitely do think Gina's death Clarke leaving, Echo betraying him it all kinda brought out season 1 Bellamy.... Doesn't justify him and it totally pisses me off and I truly will never forgive him for this.

SkyS

I get you... The ALIE thing is so weird, I'm not a sci-fi person and to be honest every time I re watch I would always stop at season 3.... But now I kinda do enjoy the story line

slade 𓅓

Same. I hate that they took such a loved character and managed to make us hate him bc omfggg the betrayal I felt when he walked out those gates with Pike and the guns. Sick.

slade 𓅓

lol Mike I love your reactions. That double take when Abby kissed Kane 🤣🤣

SkyS

No you are not wrong boo.... We would definitely wipe out skykru.... I think that the grounders might be a bit scared though because of the ring of fire they had when they fought the grounders suffered more. And then now with the 10 people vs 300 which I still don't believe. The grounders could totally wipe the floor skykru

SkyS

Honestly!!!!! Jus Drein, Jus Daun!!!!! Lexa is also making me mad. Like why the hell would she listen to Clarke.

SkyS

Mike you are experiencing so much anger right now🤣🤣🤣🤣🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️ And I totally get you hey these episodes are just something else, I'm right there with you honestly

Ken

“37 of my friends died” Bellamy baby you guys have slaughtered over 600 of their people like please 😭

slade 𓅓

They won't run out of keys as long as they have the backpack, Jaha mentioned how they turned the missile he came in into a power supply that backpack is what creates the chips! Idk how it works tech wise but that's what they were working on for months when Murphy was trapped in the bunker so that have a way of continuously making more. We don't exactly know what ALIE's full goal is, but we know that her core programming is to save humanity, her first attempt setting off nuclear bombs because her conclusion was that there were too many humans. And now her solution seems to be the City of Light

slade 𓅓

ur right though why cant they just lock Emerson up instead of the risk of letting him go?? They can keep blood must not have blood but at least imprison him like

Tony

I think people tend to forget that these are mostly kids, fresh adults. lol Bellamy is probably, being generous 20 - 21. And they’ve been at war for 3.5 seasons after having absolutely no prior experience. They weren’t trained for this. AND he just committed a GENOCIDE. I think it’s well within reason that Bellamy’s breaking point being his girlfriend given the that he’s suffered. Also, the 10 against 300 attacked in their sleep with assault rifles? I also think it’s well within reason. They’re ASSAULT RIFLES. I don’t think yall understand how many people you can hit with those. lol and their infantry was gone. What were they supposed to do? They don’t have guns, they were in an open field, literally what were they going to do? lol

Tony

Also I think Lexa and Clarke see the long game bc if blood must have blood, Pike & Bellamy are justified because the grounders killed them babies and the other people killed with Monte’s dad , and blowing up mount weather.

Turn Up the Mike

I don't necessarily disagree with your points about Bellamy being young, traumatized, or reaching his breaking point. My issue is with the WRITING and how little of that is actually developed on screen. Yes, it's entirely plausible that Gina's death pushed him over the edge, but we've seen them together maybe three times. The writers barely established their relationship before using her death as a catalyst for such a drastic character shift. And if his participation in the Mount Weather genocide is supposed to contribute to his psychological unraveling, where was that struggle explored before he turned around and helped massacre 300 innocent people sent to PROTECT them? Bellamy's youth and inexperience also havent been major themes of his characterization. In season 2, he was practically a trained undercover operative with how competently he handled Mount Weather. I'm not saying he can't break, I'm saying the writers haven't convincingly SHOWN that progression. You're offering explanations that make sense psychologically, but there's a difference between what we can rationalize as viewers and what the writers actually establish in the story. As for the 300 Grounders, I can concede that assault rifles would give 10 people an overwhelming advantage, especially in a surprise attack. But we're talking about THREE HUNDRED trained warriors from a group the show has spent seasons establishing as exceptionally dangerous and capable. Unless they were all sleeping on top of each other, I find it awfully convenient that 10 people could cover that much ground, kill every single one, and walk away without so much as ONE injury. Not a single warrior woke up, reacted, or managed to retaliate? It's not impossible so I def no longer think it isn't possible, but it feels like the writers inflated the scale of the attack to make it more shocking while also making Skaikru look far more capable against the Grounders than the show has previously established. Ultimately, something being technically possible doesn't automatically make it convincing storytelling, and that's really my criticism of both situations.

Alanis Melendez

All of these episodes have been so good!! But there is so much going on, like okay let me take some notes

Alanis Melendez

I can definitely agree because I mean since they landed they’ve all been fighting non stop. I think this is the same reason I’m understanding of jasper and letting him be. I’m honestly surprised not more of the 100 have gone over the edge from the constant stress and fighting.

Tony

I think I misunderstood what you were saying when you said Bellamy’s behavior didn’t make sense. I thought you were saying that it wasn’t plausible, but now I understand your issue was more so with the writing. I agree, we didn’t see much development with Bellamy/Gina’s relationship, but I don’t think we needed to in order to understand that he cared about her. And even though she was the catalyst, I look at it from a ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ standpoint, not so much that Gina about Gina’s death was the major motivation for his actions. I think was a culmination of everything…war, genocide, then his genocide partner left him and he found comfort in Gina just for her to explode in Mount Weather. I don’t think he had a psychological unraveling per se, but I do think he was traumatized after dealing with all that, it clouded his judgement and he made a few stupid, emotional decision without foreseeing the major consequences. In regards to the grounder massacre, and your overall critique about plausibility vs convincing storytelling, I agree, if would’ve been more convincing if Skaikru had more casualties or at least a death or severe injury, something. But ARs can do crazy damage. That psycho in Vegas let off 1000+ rounds & killed 60 people in 15 minutes, wounded another 400. Multiply that by ten. I get the grounders are a trained army but with lack of preparation and the infantry being gone, and our scouting and whatnot, I think the writers established that well because they were completely blind sided. The last thing they would’ve expected was that the people they were sent to protect would attack them. And the grounders’ lack of technological development & understanding has been a recurring theme, which is one of the smaller populations (The 100, Mountain Men, Arkadia) are able to defend themselves in a way that seems disproportionate. Grounders are great at hand to hand combat, sneak attacks, etc but they have their limitations.

Cape AMC

W episode , can’t wait for walking dead and one tree hill today 🖤I need one asap . We got BANGERSSS

Turn Up the Mike

I agree that Gina could've been the straw that broke the camel's back rather than the sole reason for Bellamy's actions. I just wish the writers had done more to establish that accumulation of trauma and, more importantly, how it translated into him embracing Pike's ideology. I don't need to see Bellamy having a full psychological breakdown, but I do need to see a convincing progression from the Bellamy we knew in S2 to someone who willingly participates in massacring 300 people he knows were sent to protect them. And I think describing his actions as a few stupid, emotional decisions massively undersells how deliberate and extreme they were. He might not have anticipated the political fallout, but he certainly knew the immediate consequences of what he was doing. After all we've seen and heard from him, there's no way he assists in the killing of 300 grounders and doesn't think that perhaps this may result if grounder retaliation or have grave consequences that, even if he can't predict exactly, he knows can be expected. As for the Grounders, I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying about their technological disadvantage and the element of surprise! My issue is that the show has spent two seasons trying to establish the grounders as this incredibly formidable military force, yet not ONE of those 300 trained warriors managed to injure a single attacker? 😭 The Vegas comparison demonstrates the destructive power of automatic weapons yes, but an unsuspecting civilian crowd in modern society and a military encampment of trained warriors who presumably have experience in these types of high pressure situations and staying on high alert aren't necessarily comparable situations imo. Plus, skairu didn't execute the 300 from the top floor of a skyscraper so I just don't think that's the best comparison here. Still, like I said before, I can concede that the massacre's outcome is possible given the circumstances. I just personally find the complete lack of resistance or injuries on Skaikru's side a little too convenient from a writing standpoint. Ultimately, I think we just have different thresholds for how much development the writers need to show for these storylines to feel earned, which is fair!

nah

lol Bryan is Millers BF

Cape AMC

Your eyes just light up when you see a good potential ship about to farm 😂😂😂😂 when Abby kiss Kane on the cheeks , you was quick to pause and say holddddd up wait a minuteeeee😭😭😭😭 you’re so funny

Gabrielle

This is pure character assassination!! What have they done to my poor Bellamy!! I am praying for them to turn this around some how the writers can choke lmao

Gabrielle

I can KIND of see where pike and Bellamy are coming from… sort of, like the grounders did let innocent people die but that was solely lexa for making a deal, not the innocent grounders 😩

Gabrielle

I’m not gonna lie when Jaha comes on screen I skip forward until he’s gone lmao what tf is going on with his robot sci fi storyline I am so confused it’s so random to me

ReRe Robinson

You’re not crazy, The grounds do have more people but SkyCru has automatic weapons and bullets, you can’t bring a knife to a gun fight

ally

Jasper and bellamy are soo annoying this season, but honestly I love it, because this show really considers how every person responds to challenges differently. Like, Jasper's pain is less about Maya and more about the grand injustice of the entire situation. I think the moments he breaks and cries are because he has so many feelings bottled up. It comes across as if he can't "get over it" but it's because he isn't allowing himself to actually process any of it. Drinking away pain and projecting pain through anger aren't proper ways to process. Then we have Bellamy, who supposedly has been fine over the 3 months, doing well and becoming a guard, but after the explosion on mount weather it's clear he has so much guilt bottled up, so Pike can exploit him because Bellamy also hasn't processed his role in so many people's deaths. He was always the one to justify killing in the name of survival, so it's almost like he can't handle the idea of peace, because being at peace means he'll have to finally confront the loss. Clarke was "selfish" and left, but she was actually able to process better because of that time alone, but to everyone else it makes her seem callous. AHHHH this show makes me want to write essays on each character I swear, and that's why it's the best.

ally

i feel like some people think the characters are acting crazy, but i actually think this show does an AMAZING job. character growth doesn't always need to be positive, in fact that would be way more unrealistic.

ally

even when bellamy tells clarke "you left me" i think he's expressing anger because they both pulled that lever, but somehow she was able to walk away. from his perspective she left, and now she's fine, but he had to stay there and lead their people and be strong. which obviously that is self-imposed, and he had every right to break down sooner and process his grief and guilt in a healthy way but that's not always realistic. and now Pike is almost offering bellamy a way to engage with his anger, pike is able to "brainwash" him because bellamy sees pike as a role model. honestly says a lot about modern day masculinity and the way it can get toxic fast.

ally

LOL one more point, because i saw your comment abt the writers not developing these things enough. totally, but I also sort of love it because in real life, we will never be able to see the development of another person's feelings FULLY. it makes me think of someone who has been stressed, and then snaps at someone over something really small. we can get angry back and tell them it's unreasonable to be mad at that one thing, but in reality, the feeling is usually comin g from something else. so, like, we can say "maya and jasper barely knew each other," or "bellamy and gina had no on-screen development," but the actual problem for jasper might be "why does the world punish good people?" or for bellamy it might be "why does everyone I care about get hurt" and we do have evidence for that part of their character... like, bellamy being the reason his mom got floated, and octavia saying that in season 1... all those little things add up. or even jasper getting locked up just because he smoked weed, LOL

ally

I think when clarke says blood must have blood ends with all dead, she means the cyclic nature of revenge, if blood must always have blood, it will never end. still stupid thing to say
