Klaus is already getting the sword to find the location of the cure. Damon and Stefan know that the only reason why Klaus is helping is to turn Elena back into a human to use her blood to create more hybrids. So yes I do agree with you that they should’ve told Elena in the beginning about the plan of getting the cure for her.

The sire bond was done to prolong the drama. They had done everything they could with Stelena. It was not to rush Delena. Delena had already been building for four seasons. It was to tease Stelena fans a little longer while stringing along the Delena fans a little longer.

Fun fact this break up was a nod to the second season when they fake broke up. Stefan saying I can’t do this Elena meant “I love you” and Elena was supposed to say “fine, wherever” meaning “I love you too” but instead she said I know signaling she’s really done with the relationship!

You are right on the money with the whole everything revolves around Elena...this is the exact reason why SO many people grow to dislike Elena because of that whole everything revolves around Elena mentality. Like I get it she is the main character of the show but the writers should've known to grow from that mentality as the show went on and other characters grew to be fan favourites and carried the show (BONNIE!!!!!!!!!!!)

Honestly I don't think Caroline is really that bad for doing all that stuff with Klaus when Elena's been pretty chill with Damon even knowing that he was abusing Caroline in S1 sooooo idk...also tbh I personally think Klaus is a much more likeable character than Damon even though Klaus is worse idk to me Damon is the kinda guy who thinks he is 'HIM' but he is not, I just find myself permanently eye rolling whenever he speaks lol and same goes for Stefan the two of them I'm just like omfg what now?!!

Yeah I completely agree, I admit when I first watched this as a young teenager I definitely felt that dislike for Elena because of said mentality but again I was a Delena fan at that time so nutty teen things were going on lol it definitely comes from younger viewers watching this and not really thinking (or not differentiating) about the fact that this is all fiction and they are characters in a show and don't really think about how there are writers, producers and directors who are making these decisions and storylines. Re-watching this with you as an adult (I turn 23 on Monday! and yes ik I'm still young hehe) and other shows like PLL with Aria and Ezra for example is really eye-opening about how mental these writers were with these choices, and additionally for me made me confront some internalised misogyny perhaps cause why did so many people (teen/young girls especially) hate Elena for the choices that the MEN around her made and they're fighting over her like some bloody trophy. Watching this now I'm like leave Elena alone damn
