Hey Wizards!
Shady Character One here!
So another poll for the next girl to focus on has ended. The results were pretty predictable, even if the way there wasn't. I was at first surprised when Aisling of all girls took an early and concrete lead, showing that she is still one of our front-runners, even if she didn't get far in the previous poll. But Elizabeth slowly but surely gained on Aisling and ended up taking first place, as I was expecting her to. After all, she did take a very definitive second place last time.
After all the votes had been weighted according to supporter levels, the tally ended up as follows:
Elizabeth — 35 Aisling — 29 Lily — 16 Gwen — 14 Mitsuki — 11 Ciara — 5 Katelyn — 2 (poor girl, she deserves better)
It looks like most of Violet's votes went to Aisling, but it still wasn't enough. Well, I'm okay with that too. I was planning to make some content for Elizabeth after the previous poll, but ended up working on other stuff and it was mostly just Violet who got her new shiny events. I guess Elizabeth did deserve her place in the spotlight.
So I sat down to write the date for Elizabeth and it went surprisingly well. I had been putting it off because I was afraid it would be a very long one (and it is), but it came out pretty smoothly. I believe it is the longest of the girls' events so far. Elizabeth's events do tend to turn out longer than most — it isn't deliberate. That's just how it is. And I will still return to it a bit later to iron out a few small things and maybe add a sentence or two. Violet's date really benefited from this treatment.
The issue with Elizabeth's date is that it also requires a lot of work from Shady Two's side: two new outfits, new artwork, and maybe even a background or two (even if simple ones). So this one will probably have to wait for a couple of releases, even if the writing is mostly done. It will give me a bit more time to work on other elements crucial for Elizabeth's storyline going forward.
I also decided that Mitsuki needs at least her fourth event added to the game, so in a fit of inspiration I wrote that one too. I know how all of the events for each girl should go and how their storylines progress and end, but fleshing them out sometimes takes effort, so I am very happy that this week I managed to get two events out with such ease. It is now Aisling's turn — let's pray that she doesn't show her problematic nature again and her date turns out as smoothly as Elizabeth's did.
You will probably hear about that from me next week. Until then.
Shady Character One, out!
