No pun intended, honestly. It seems another Silmarillion spree is upon me. I haven't put Maedhros through the mill in a while, so I suppose this one was about to happen... 

I used an awesome, awesome ref photo from Posespace.com as a base.

I remember coming across an Edgar Allan Poe quotation sometime around my second semester: “The death of a beautiful woman is, unquestionably, the most poetical topic in the world.” I had no problem seeing that, for a female viewpoint, it worked the other way round as well, and that's true for many great scenes in art, and that the suffering of a beautiful man was no less touching (think of all those pietás)!
