The Last Alliance. Watercolour on Clairefontaine Etival cold-pressed paper, just under A3 size.

I'm really excited to show this in all its glory, especially since the colours in the wip photos were so off!

I'm incredibly happy that my last four pieces have turned out so well. I've even learned to work around my eye disease - just as long as I'm in the house and don't have to switch between far and near. That still doesn't work well. But with magnifying glass and good timing (and a lot of time...), I can almost paint again as I used to.

Detail shots:

The print (matted and unmatted) is available in my Etsy shop!

I do love this especially the Stop Brexit feel 😉

And Bert is like "we are no longer in Kansas, Dorothy". Now we know his horse's name! Joke aside - this piece is absolutely amazing and it's hard to believe that you a) did it in such a relative short time and b) did all those details like "eye don't care, eye do what I want to do!"

Love, love, love the piece, and happy for the news about being able to paint.

Maura Burns

I might have gasped when I saw this.

I’m so happy for you and for us that you are feeling better! I always liked your art, but wow, the recent stuff is on a whole new level! Might have to talk to my fiancé about doing our whole apartment Silmarillion themed, heheh! ;)
