This rarely happens, but I can't seem to think of a (non-humorous) title. The original quote is too long and lacks short, snappy title material. Any ideas?

Ring of Darts... fantastic as always!

What's wrong with "An all too easy victory" as you named the sketch? It makes sense in context. Otherwise, maybe "Few foresaw the full meaning", but that's not exactly snappy either. Titles are hard. Gosh, I love how you draw the viewr right into the middle of the action, as if we were part of the Elven cavalry ourselves! It's such a dynamic way of depeicting these scenes and I'm in awe how you always manage to make it look so natural.

I think the original title with the sketch is good too :) "An all too easy victory"...works well. And this picture is looking epic!

Right in the middle of the action!!

An all too easy victory seems to be the best choice. But I propose also: Glaurung disclosed himself over-soon. Or, even shorter one: For few foresaw....

What I (proud owner of four) truly admire in your works, Jenny, is that perfect match between an illustration and its title 😊

I often start an illustration because the title catches my imagination, hee - that's far more natural for me than doing a scene and not knowing what to call it!

It does require truly kickass reference. I really should do a blog post about how this thing came together in my mind; it's a great example of idea interlocking with ref and ref haing another impact on idea.
