*cough* Did I say only?

I really, really love how this one is turning out. And I'm happy that I used all my new greys so harmoniously here.

Listening to Bill Bryson's The Lost Continent - Travels in Small Town America as I paint, and for the first time understood that the song "Fifty Miles into the Main" by Ken Theriot is about the Lost Colony, and that the Kroatoan Virus from Supernatural references the same incident. I love that sound my synpses make when they suddenly connect across vast empty spaces of my brain.

The tutorial will come when this is finished! :)

Still looking for a title? Why not half of Becca’s comment. Either half would work! ‘In his folly he was humbled’... I cant wait to see this finished, looks amazing already!

I told myself no more prints for a while, and separately no prints that will embarrass my fiancé (obvious fantasy elements like dragons), even though I would buy the heck out of any art book or illustrated silmarillion you put out. But ohhh this one is very, very tempting.

Jenny Dolfen

Aw! Funnily, dragons are the only things that make my husband even half-glance at my art. I remember that he was awfully disappointed with that 1995 Glaurung though.

Jenny Dolfen

I like "Glaurung showed himself too soon", but then, it requires a lot of familiarity with the Sil! The other half is again really close to Ted's... I'll probably end up with "An all too easy victory" in the end after all.

Ooo, in this one (if still unnamed)) I especially love the dynamics (archers figures are great, and horses, as usual))) and swirls: they create a feeling of anxiety, and, in the same time, allow my eyes to rest - such calm colors and pleasant shapes!

Lisa Gerard

Wow. Glaurung looks amazing! Very different from your 1995 version - not that that's a surprise, your style has evolved quite a bit since then!
