The "prototype" of my artbook with the new printer came today, and YESSS! The printing quality is perfect, the colours are bright and full and crisp. Exactly as they would look if I had printed them myself.

Remember how pale and blurry this page looked in the old version? I'm totally and utterly happy with this now!

EDIT! I have decided to go with hardcover.

There are many reasons for softcover, one being that a softcover is light enough to be shipped along with a print or pin, so it would rid me of a lot of shipping headaches. BUT if enough people were to say you absolutely wanted hardcover, I'd reconsider. You'd just have to know that shipping could not be combined with any other item. The hardcover would be around 30€ in the end, the paperback around 25. Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm going to send off the big order for the books this weekend. I hope they'll arrive here by 10 October or so.

Welcome to new Patron Creative Sphere Studios! :)

So glad the new printer worked out so well. The book is beautiful and I can't wait to get one in either softcover or hardcover.

Jenny Dolfen

Hm, seems the verdict is strongly in favour of hardcover! I think 'll go with that again then. It might still be slightly lighter than the last, as the paper is a little thinner. :)

Laura Michel

Wow! I want it already! Softcover would be fine for me because of the slightly lower price and the easier shipping, but I'd be happy to get the book no matter what. ^^

Litsen

EXCELLENT! I'm so happy for you and so relieved, and the artbook looks awesome ! You must feel so much better now :D Well done!

Tanya

I also think that soft cover is fine. I’d buy your book either way but would prefer a more economical option.

Anjuschka

Definitely hardcover! I regularly order books online and softcover versions often have damaged corners when they arrive. I also agree with Miranda and Jennifer.

Jennifer Tifft

I would love hardcover, and would be happy to pay more for it. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to it!

Lauretha

I am happy you decided to go with hardcover, sad there is no more text on the page next to the paintings, as show on the photo in the post. I would love some more trivia/comments from the artist.

Jenny Dolfen

Oh, you'll see that there is actually a lot of text and trivia. The one in the photo is probably the one with the least text. :) I just chose it as the colours in the original printing were so horrible with that one, and so good in the new printing.

Gwendolyn

I am late to the party, as usual, but I’m delighted you are going with hardcover!
