I've been on the fence with his hair colour - red seemed nice, but too close to the Wagnerian Loge, and besides, the colour scheme of the piece really left me no choice but blond.

Well, as you know, I'd have gone with red hair. And I see why you've done blond (and it's a good blond) but can you put the slightest hint on gingeriness in there? Just a hint of fire? But his eyes are spot on.

The eyes aren't done yet - they still lack shading (as almost everything else here, too). Whatever I do with his hair, I'll have to do with the knotwork - and breaching into the red would mean this painting covers the whole spectrum, which I usually try to avoid. I'll make a final decision on the final touches, but I don't think I want this piece to have more red.
