I believe that the particular incident which resulted in a very suspicious death was more a "cover up" than a "conspiracy." Soldiers from combat who I've known (mainly tours in Iraq and Afghanistan) have said that the level of insanity they go through in war and the misguided encouragement of acting on this insanity could VERY well lead to such a purposeful (my opinion) friendly fire event. Then the government acts in the "best interest" of the military to cover the truth and kill the story. The government itself would have been better served to court his voice or see to an "accident" which rings more of an understandable/common nature rather than be so openly sus, imo.
