Everytime they say Marmalade I just think of that Rick and Morty episode "Marmalade is Served!"

I feel like there's something wrong in the editing of your commentary. You're talking about the home for retired bears and "the farm" for pets and then you jump to talking about Mr. Brown's disguise without even mentioning him, so I guess you cut something out, or maybe placed some bits of the video out of order? I'm also surprised that you didn't mention how the whole story is an allegory for immigration and how well it portrays different people's feelings about it: those who are totally accepting like Mrs. Brown, those who are somewhat distrustful but still act in a civilized way like Mr. Brown at the beginning, those who are bigoted but ultimately well-meaning like Mr. Curry and those who don't even see immigrants as people just because they're different, like the villain (of course she has personal motivations and Paddington is not technically people, but her final confrontation with the Brown family has her talking like a full-blown racist would). I think with our current situation it's very nice that we have movies like this that so clearly advocate for helping immigrants and make them feel welcome.

Dangit, you're right. I must have cut a chunk of the commentary by accident. It actually includes discussion about how the film mirrors the immigrant experience xD I'll re-record it sometime soon

Miru

I saw you finally uploaded the reaction to YouTube with the re-recorded commentary... but now the video ends too soon and the commentary is cut short! Your Paddington commentary is jinxed! 🤣

Okay NOW it's fixed on Patreon, but the it got blocked on YouTube :P
